lol my roomate is the queen round here.. almost 70, youngin here.
i hide in my room mostly. im not allowed to walk unsupervised (i use a walker currently. hot. we're working on getting me on a cane in PT though) anyway..im not allowed to wander... unless someone is with me.. so yeh. i dont do much. when ian is here we wander.. but i get tired quickly anyway.

its the most dreadul thing ever. i was refusing to use it @ the hospital buit imnot getting away with that here. i may or may not fling it when im out of sight.. in the elevator.. or bathroom or my roomate isnt around :p

Good Luck, La. How crazy to put you in that place! I hope you heal quickly and can get out of there. Maybe it is supposed to motivate you to recover so you won't have to stay long :p

Id get your camera out La it might take a while to find a crowd united that makes you look like you sipped of the tree of life.

So glad to hear an update. Just look out for the horny old men...my sister (who used to work at a nursing home) has quite the stories to tell.

I'm sorry you're stuck with the old geezers, sweetie. I do believe the rehab center is considered an upgrade from the hospital (not sure if it feels like one or not) - whatever it takes to get well, right?

If it makes you feel better, you're not the only youngie using a walker right now, my 13 yr old son is using one while he recovers from surgery - he's so sweet - he will walk with his bum way out (since his knees hurt and he doesnt want to straighten them) and we nicely remind him he looks like he's 80 and he straightens up. It gets better, he's about to ditch the walker- you'll be there soon too, sweetie.

And, I have to say, if you made a "Pimp My Walker" kit, I'd buy it. ;) haha!

Oohhhh, I think you totally need to get a picture of you with the gang there!!

Hang in there and get better soon so you can be home where you belong! We are all praying for a fast recovery!!
 
You might be bored there, but I am shure the oldies are soo soo happy to have you around!!

i left for almost an hour today.. no one noticed :p i TRIED to ask /sign out but there was no one around :p i worry for the safety of the actual old people here :p

ian made me come back. i woulda stayed gone :p
