Challenge Question

This is probably a really stupid question but is it possible that you can earn three points for a challenge?

Example: 1 point for posting a picture in the Shutterbug Shakedown gallery and then 2 points for using a new release to make a LO.

Like I said, I am sure this is not legal but I thought I would ask. Thanks for the help :)
 
I *thought* it used to be that way but the way I understand it, it's 1 point for the layout regardless of product used. I don't think there is a way to earn 3 pts for a layout now but someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
 
If you post for the Color Confectionary with a LO for a challenge, you get one point for the challenge, one point for posting the colors (must be posted on the blog), and if you use a new release -- that equals 3. I think that's how it goes. Possibly for the Shutterbug Shakedown too??

You only get 2 points for shutterbug.
As Nikkie said, if you create a challenge LO with a new release that also fits the color challenge, then you'd get 3.
So technically, if you took the shutterbug photo, and then created a lo using it, that used the color challenge colors, then you'd get 3.

But regardless, you can't get 2 points for you shutterbug LO on it's own.

you can't..but the color ch is just an extra challenge. It has to be used for another challenge. The way Nikki and Colleen described it is right. You can use a new release for a challenge, along with the color scheme and get 3 points. Or you can use your shutterbug LO (1 pt for pic, 1 for LO, 1 point for color scheme) for 3 points too
