Nikki's PB&J question reminded me of something

when you have cereal with milk, which do you put in the bowl first? cereal or milk.

I put in cereal and then add milk, which I think makes sense so you know how much milk to add.

DH puts the milk in first and then adds cereal. :blink: isn't that strange?
 
sometimes I'll do fruit, then cereal then milk. My milk has to be just-so with the level of cereal. I can't imagine adding milk first - how do you know you'll have enough?? :huh:
 
duh. cereal first. DH will put cereal first but then with the left over milk in the bowl he'll put more cereal in. so i guess he does both. I just drink the leftover milk straight out of the bowl, lol.
 
Yuck. I don't put any milk in my cereal, but y'all know abt my horrible wet bread aversion. :p
 
cereal first but sometimes I will add more cereal if I have milk left. I do not like alot of milk though. My husband adds sugar to almost every cereal. I think that is the weirdest thing and absolutely disgusting. he even adds sugar to honey nut cheerios and frosted flakes!!!
 
Cereal then milk. When the cereal is gone, I can't seem to make myself drink the leftover milk, can't stand the taste. I know it's a waste - but it gets dumped.
 
Cereal first because I don't like soggy cereal so I have to see exactly how much milk to pour in so it just covers the bottom of the bowl.
 
Cereal first, then milk. It is ok to add cereal to the leftover milk, though. Of course, I say that as DS is sitting with me slurping down the rest of his milk! Some snack, huh? ;)
 
cereal, then a splash of milk (mainly cause I don't do dairy, so if I have cereal, I am desperately craving it - or there isn't anything else to eat. lol).

For the kids, cereal, and then enough milk to just see it. they always end up adding more cereal to their bowls though, they are piggies. I swear, we go through three big boxes of cereal a week in the house, with just four kids eating it!!!
 
Cereal then milk. Your DH is weird, Mimi. And yes, I do not understand the dry cereal concept. Although.. once.. my roommate ate cereal with sprite.. because we had no milk.. and the thought of that still makes me gag.
 
I don't "DO" milk (blech) so I put in the cereal and then sprinkle it with a little milk just to get it a little cold and then eat it almost dry. LOL!!! For DH and DS, it's cereal first and then milk.
 
Cereal first, how would you know how much milk to add?

Sometimes I put in extra cereal if I have enough milk left.

My kids LOVE dry cereal, and won't eat certain kinds if I put milk in them, because they don't like them smooshy LOL
 
Cereal THEN milk - but I don't want it in a bowl. I want it in a cup. No idea why. just how it has to be ;)
 
HAHA! Cereal then milk! And this thread had me craving cereal, so that's what DH & I are eating for supper! Lol
