Can't wait for new Survivor!!

It's so funny that after 11 years and 24 seasons I still look forward to this show more than just about any other. And since last season was such a dud it really feels like it's been a whole year since we had good weekly Survivor kwim?

I've picked my faves already...Lisa Welchel, Jonathan Penner and Michael Skupin..if any of those three win I'll be happy. Of course my mind may change after it airs but right now those are my top 3 :)

Skupin was in season 2!! He's 50 years old now. I always think of Australia as one of the toughest seasons b/c it seems like they really really suffered from hunger and cold and stuff...in the earlier seasons it was a lot harder to win food and stuff. Seems like that has changed in later seasons.
 
I think Outback was one of the harder one too...remember when they lost their rice and they had to go without something to get more rice..was just a season rough on conditions.

I hope Russell does well this go around too..his departure was so scary on his season
 
I am soooo looking forward to this season! :D I hope it is an improvement on last season, because I almost vowed to never watch Survivor again after that one! I remember really liking Jonathan and Micheal on their seasons... I hope they do well and aren't instantly voted off because of their seniority.
 
I didn't watch the seasons of any of those returning players, so it will be like all new players for me. It should be EASY to top last season - one of the worst ever. Can't wait!

Although this entire season has already been spoiled and so has next season. I can't remember much of what I read so maybe I won't go back and look so I'm at least a little surprised. ;)
 
I cant wait either!! Even though some of the contestants last season were BEYOND horrible, I still liked the SHOW!
 
I'm going to try my best to not read spoilers. I usually don't with survivor or Amazing race so I should be ok.

On another note..has anybody been watching Jeff Probst's new show? I've loved the first 2 episodes so far
 
When does it actually start? And AR too, as that is my favorite show. I am so bad about keeping up with the shows I like, but I do want to set the DVR. lol
 
yay - i'm so excited for both survivor and amazing race :) and my DH has NEVER watched survivor before, but said he wants to try this year - so hopefully it will be a good season :)

Wasn't Outback the season when they went on a challenge and came back and the river had washed away their entire camp and supplies? And then Michael getting burned and I remember Elizabeth Hasselback in that one and she was so so skinny. I wish they'd stream past seasons on Netflix or something..it'd be cool to rewatch them.
 
Yes I love when they have to eat gross stuff. I have also watched it from the beginning. Micheal was one of my favorites too. When he went out it was a big game changer. I also love TAR.
 
Yes it was that one where the river had washed it away..I remember Tina and Colby freaking out and wasn't it Colby that went into the water? Not positive...

Do you have the DVD rental on netflix? They have the seasons on there...My DH and I just watched Seasons 1-3 of The Amazing Race since the last few seasons are the first he's watched so we went back to watch the beginning ones that he'd missed
