Can you send some good thoughts/prayers please?

My little sis had her 36 week prenatal checkup today and her blood pressure is really high and they think she may have preeclampsia. She's in the hospital being monitored and the doctors are pretty sure they are going to induce tonight. Can you just send some thoughts/prayers that everything goes well and my sis and the baby will be okay. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far so good! They have finally confirmed that it's a GIRL. I told my BIL that a long time ago but he was in total denial. LOL!!! My sis' liver enzymes are a little low but everything else looks good and they are inducing in a little while. Oh, she's 37 weeks, not 36 and last week she was told the baby was about 5 pounds and my sis has gained 5 more pounds since then. LOL! So, by tomorrow I should be an auntie again!!!!

My sis likes to do this naturally - with no drugs so she said she was going to call me at 2 am to tell me how it's going. I told my mom she's only allowed to call if she's holding a baby!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers girls! It means a lot!!!

Saying a little prayer now. Just to set your mind at ease, the same thing happened to me at 36 weeks. I gained 11 lbs of fluid in 1 week and my blood pressure shot way up. I was finally induced at 37 weeks and, though the labor wasn't pleasant because I had to lay flat in the bed or my blood pressure went up more, Riley was perfectly healthy and my blood pressure went to normal almost immediately after she was born. Hope that helps give you some peace of mind.

Laura - thank you!!! I think they are kinda worried about my sis' liver too. My mom was in tears last night talking about Chirrosis... she's worried.

So, it's 7 am and I still haven't heard anything. I'm going to stop by the hospital after I drop the kiddos off this morning and give them my camera to use so they can get some decent pictures. Hopefully I'll know more soon!

I had this same problem with my last child. He was born six weeks early so I know how scary it can be. Keeping her and baby in my thoughts. Hope all will go well for them!!
