Can you cover pens with paper?

I used to cover the barrels of many different types of pens when I was into polymer clay. Can you cover pens with paper? If so, what adhesive works best? What type of sealer works best? I can't imagine that ModPodge would work to adhere the paper to the pen - or at least not for long! And I can't see sealing with it either - it just doesn't seem durable enough.

I ask because I am thinking of covering some of those spiral bound journals they always have in the $1 bins at Michael's as teacher's gifts and I thought it would be nice to make a matching pen as well.

I know I've seen it done. If you hold the paper the place in place, I think mod podge would work fine as a glue. Or you could use a tape runner of some sort on the paper, and then wrap the glued paper around the pen.

I've been meaning to try this and just haven't gotten a chance. Let us know how it works out!

Yes, there are some that work the best for it...let me see if I can find a tutorial for you. I made several as a paper scrapper/stamper. :)

Thanks girls! I guess any clear barrel pen you could put the paper inside! What a great idea! Off to the office store now!! Thanks again!

Arrrghh! I just got back from Michael's and Staples! I didn't see this in time! The beads are really cool. I'll have to try that next time. I was successful in finding the RSVP pens at Staples - so I'm off to create! Thanks again!
