....in a crockpot? I'm just curious I have regular ole' spaghetti and sauce and I have fettucine and alfredo sauce, and I'm wondering if they can be cooked in Betty (my crockpot's name ).
I know that in most of the recipes I use, they have you add cooked pasta in the last 15 minutes or so. I would just use the stove; I think you'll get soggy noodles otherwise.
sure. I actually had a really yummy crockpot lasagna recipe somewhere that had regular lasagna noodles in it, uncooked, broken into pieces. It just had extra water added to it to cook the noodles.
My son makes a recipe in the crockpot...Grandma Lilly's Spaghetti...
2 pounds browned ground beef or turkey, cheapy bottle of ketchup, equal amount of water, and spaghetti noodles....low all day...or high for a couple of hours...just watch the noodles. Surprising how it tastes...one of my son's fave recipes. The noodles have a lot of taste to them.
I've done a spaghetti in the crock pot before...you just cook it REALLY slow on LOW heat..and you do have to watch them b/c they will get soggy if you cook them too fast or long..but it is yummy
