Can I show you something?

I've always been scared of 2-page layouts...the last time I tried one I was on my old desktop and was using a template. My PSP did NOT want to open such a large template and I had the hardest time with it! Without a template, I wasn't confident of my ability to make it look right.

But I was looking at Vanessa (nesser1981) 's books lately in a thread about printing...and she mentioned that she does facing pages of her books with the same kit/same background paper. Not necessarily two page layouts, just coordinating, so to speak.

I immediately fell in love with the idea and decided to try it.

I've never been a chronological scrapper or printer so normally when I go to put a book together I just sit layouts next to each other that don't look too terrible and go with it.

But this summer I'm printing a book of JUST what Nathan did this summer so that he can take it back to his dad's house in the fall. I wanted the pages to look good next to each other so it seemed a good time to try it.

Sometimes I've been posting both pages, and other times just the first one. But I wanted to share them with you and thank Vanessa for the wonderful idea. I am SO much happier seeing them side by side and looking coherent!

Here are some from the book I'm working on for him:

Looks good Lena! You are so chatty lately, can tell you've missed us here in the forums!!! Glad to see you so active here again!!

They look great! I have done something similar. I have also reversed my LO or the template on each side when doing 2 page spreads.

WONDERFUL!!! Love it! Great job Lena, and I think that is TOTALLY the best way to do 2 pagers!

Awesome Awesome Awesome Lena! That is going to be one gorgeous book!

Oh and I love that idea too as I'm not a two pager kinda gal either! Heck I can barely get more than one photo on a page! LOL!
