But I'm really getting sick of people not owning up to mistakes they make... am I the only one?
No one likes to admit they make a mistake, but when you work in a customer service industry, sometimes you just need to say I'm sorry there was an error and it has been corrected... but instead, this is the response I got when I brought it to the YMCA's attention that a class I was trying to schedule for my son wasn't on the same day in the on line system vs. the program book...
"Sorry about the error online. We do our best as a YMCA to make sure that all information on all formats is the same, but we are only human and it does happen. The Get Up and Go class is on Tuesday. Explore Our World class is on Monday. Hope that helps."
Maybe I'm just crabby because of the thought of a foot of snow coming tomorrow... but I just found this rude... if it were me, I would have said, "I'm sorry for the error, Get up and Go is on Tuesday and Explore Our work is on Monday - it has been corrected in system." But to go on and blame that because they are human, that is okay? I'm sorry... if I made as many mistakes as they have in the system over the last 4 years I have been using the online system to register for classes, I would have been let go from my job...
Thanks for letting me vent... hopefully it is out of my system and I don't fire back a nasty email to Kourtney - with a K...
