i live in a podunk town. the only place to rent movies was dillons, our grocery store. well guess what i heard the rumor today that they were closing the rental part so i called to confirm and yes they are closing :crying: that means the closest place to rent movies now is 30 min away or on satellite which you can no longer dvr

Oh boo! Maybe they will put in one of those Redbox things? I love ours so much I don't even go to Blockbuster anymore! Maybe a suggestion to give to management? Either way, boo on taking out the video rental store!!

I live in Podunk too and I LOVE Netflix...we have the 3 at a time plan and you really don't have to wait b/c the shipping is super fast and by the time you've watched one and sent it back you get another in the mail.

We also have Dillon's stores here and they also closed the rental area awhile back and now have the RedBox rental kiosks (actually the one in the store I shop @ is blue though lol). We've had Netflix for almost a year though so we've never gotten movies from it, but I know there are tons of web sites & blogs that offer codes for free movie rentals from RedBox.

you can do netflix or blockbuster online. I LOVE REDBOX though!! It is seriously the most awesome idea ever!! DVD's from a vending machine and only 1.00 a night!!
