Brighter Days Ahead Layouts

Ok, so I'll admit. I have a tough time scrapping with store collabs sometimes. ;)

I know some others do also, after reading the Sweet Shoppe Saturday thread.
I thought it might be a good motivator to scrap with Brighter Days Ahead if we had a thread to show off what we've done with it!

I used Cindy's template and a mix of everything else lol!

Have you scrapped yet?

Beautiful Nikki! I have an idea of what to do with this kit, but it probably won't happen until at least tomorrow. I'll be sure to come back here and show it off when I'm done, though. :)

That's gorgeous Nikki!!! I was thinking today of what I wanted to scrap with it. I've got too much going on today so there will be no scrapping...but hopefully tomorrow I'll have time!!

Thanks for starting this thread! I have the hardest time with big collabs too! I haven't downloaded yet, but once I use it, I'll post.

Stunning LOs! I love the way your colors came together, Heather! I could scrap 10 LOs with this kit and never have any of them be as vibrant as yours.

I have a hard time working with huge collabs, too, so I went trolling the gallery for inspiration a few hours ago. I only found Nikki's and 1 other, so this thread was a great idea. I'm scrapping with it now, but I probably won't finish until at least tomorrow.

Wow, great layouts!
Good idea too because I couldn't see anything in it after I bought the kit yesterday....it's just not my colour, hihi. But now I am going to give it a try!

Here is one that I did - I also seem to have a hard time with certain kits like this. I did find that with this particular kit changing the photo to black and white helped a lot.

Now, I'm still very much a novice at digi scrapping and I haven't quite gotten the knack of layering elements, but I'm working at it - LOL.

Stunning layouts ladies! I have a few layouts I want to complete today, one of them using this kit. I'll post when finished.

Amazing journaling Marie. I'm all teared up!

gorgeous pages ladies! while we were working on this kit I didn't really "see" it as purple/pink...I really thought it was more about the neutrals...but now seeing all these pages with the purple/pink I'm going to have to look at the preview again! hehe

I think changing the photos to b&w is really helping..unless you have the perfect colors in your photos. :)

I just wish there were solids! The kit is amazing, and of course I picked it up, but I have a hard time scrapping without solids. Thanks for the inspiration ladies.

Kim, I think some of the subtle patterns in this kit can work well where you need some solids. I've tried it on my Project 365 weekly layout, was thinking the same like you but it worked well.

I'm with you! I mined every bit of solid I could from it, LOL. Flergs contributed the solid pink and a brown that looks solid in small amounts, and I faked peach and white solids by cutting solid sections out of Amy Wolff's gradient paper and Valorie Wibbons's butterfly paper.
