as if you didnt already know this....

but, DH and some other officers just got jumped by some inmates. In the process he smashed his head really hard on the concrete taking someone down. Now his head is hurting really bad and he is throwing up.







and he wont go to the doctor.






so if I'm MIA today it's because I will be taking him to Urgent Care.
 
Oh no, Amy! That's surely a pretty big concussion - he needs to go!!! I hope he'll let you take him and that he gets better fast!!!
 
yeah, Heather is right. A concussion could be the least of his worries. He needs to get checked out asap. Vomitting after a head injury is a sign of trouble.

I hope you can convince him to go in and be seen. The tough guy act just isn't that impressive when you're worried about them, is it? :(

I really hope you're at urgent care with him right now!!
 
well I've been one to refuse to go to the dr after head injuries @ work.. but, if he's barfing I'd drag him to UC. I hope he's ok.
 
yikes!! Hope you get him to go to urgent care. I remember one time my husband was pulling a bumper from a wrecked car years ago and he got it down to just one bolt left and the bolt broke and the bumper was under so much pressure when that happened it came around and hit him in the head. He passed out and isnt sure how long exactly he was out and he was the same way...he wasnt sure he needed to go have it checked out (and his boss was being a douchebag and kept saying to him he would be ok...not to worry about it) I finally convinvced him to go to the hospital and he had a hairline fracture in his skull. His was really bad swollen for like two months and it was literally black for like three weeks.
 
Yikes yikes!!! Silly boy. Make sure that wherever you take them they have a CT machine cuse that is what he'll need.
 
Oh, my goodness, Amy. That is scary stuff. THat's the first question they always ask after you hit your head, are you throwing up. Good luck taking him in! What a scary job he has.
 
oh no Amy!! Let us know how it goes at the hospital. Skip Urgent Care, he needs a CAT scan and I don't think most UCs have those.
 
He should have a scan and check it out immediately. He needs to file it with OSHA, since it happened on the job, because if there is something wrong with he or one of the other guys there may be a lawsuit and you will need that scan.
I really hope he isn't driving himself home - he could pass out and get into another accident.
Many prayers & thoughts going out to him that he really is allright.
 
I agree with Julie. Skip Urgent Care and take him straight to a hospital Emergency Room.
Vomiting could be a sign of severe head trauma.
 
Oh Wow- Make him go to the ER stat!!!!!!

My uncle hit his head and was throwing up after, turned out he had a brain annerism (spelling?)
 
Oh no! Hoping you got him to the dr. and it's nothing serious.

They can be dumb, can't they? (And they don't even have to hit their heads for that to be the case!)
