We are taking a bit of a pounding. The coast is getting a lot of flooding and there are some cities and towns completely without power. I think the number's up to over 300,000 without power right now and we're still in the worst of it.
For the first time in 35 years, the governor's issued an executive order banning traffic on all roads. That hasn't happened since the Blizzard of '78 which, ironically, was 35 years ago this week (Feb 6-7). Honestly, we really didn't a need a repeat of that.
I haven't left the house all day. When I heard yesterday that the public transportation was going to be shutting down at 3:30, I decided I didn't want to deal with the hassle of the commute home. I'm glad I didn't 'cause, from what I've heard, it was really bad. The farthest I've gone outside today was to the front gate to open it. Otherwise, with the way the snow's drifting, it would have never opened tomorrow.
