Today.. sucked. His CT scan went fine, if a little painful, and the bone scan was long and painful. He was able to get more pain meds, and a longer acting pain med is an option if he needs it. He was also able to finally get a temporary handicapped parking pass, which we will pick up tomorrow.

However.. the bone scan did turn up with something. There is something in the top part of his right shoulder. He has no pain there and no symptoms, so it very well could be nothing, but it is the only part that flared on the bone scan. He had an xray today and we will have the results in a day or two. On Wednesday he has an MRI. Chemo is still scheduled to start on Monday. His oncologist said even if it is cancer in his shoulder that treatment will not change, her goal is to be curative, so that was reassuring.

Cross your fingers for us girls..... we need it. As my dad said today.. it's just one damn thing after another.

Oh Sara. (((hugs))) Hopefully the shoulder bit is nothing. But at least your physician is being very proactive and checking for everything. More prayers are being said for you both.

(((HUGS))) I agree - I'm glad she's checking everything so that you guys can know where you stand and go after this @(#$&(@#&)$. Praying more!

Prayers for your whole family Sara. I am glad that you will get that handicap parking pass. It is a lifesaver for my husband because he has so much pain in walking long distances and breathing issues still. I really hope the issue with the shoulder is nothing serious and the chemo will not be to hard on him. Hope you get some positive news with the xays and MRI!!

Adding more prayers. I wonder if he has ever hurt that particular shoulder in the past and that is why the spot flared. When I get my CT and chest xrays, they always say I have TB, but I don't, it is just scaring from my radiation that looks like TB on the xray. Past injuries and illness do leave their mark on you. I will keep hoping for the best for you all.

Thanks for the update. I hope the shoulder turns out to be nothing and that your family starts getting some good news already. Praying that the chemo helps Jeff beat this thing.

Oh Sara. Still praying for you guys every single time I pray. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this, and I KNOW Jeff can beat it!

dang Sara, you all need to catch a break here. I'm praying the shoulder ends up being nothing. I'm thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

Keeping you guys in our thoughts still Sara. Hoping that the shoulder is nothing and that the Chemo will work. *hugs*

Thanks for the update. So sorry you're not getting good news. Hopefully things will start looking up soon.

Sending you lots of prayers that "it" is nothing with his shoulder!!! Hang in there Sara...we are all sending you lots of love and virtual hugs!!!! :hugs:

Continuing to pray for you guys. I am so glad the dr. is being agressive and double checking everything to make sure all is known at this point. Sending lots of hugs and prayers.
