#20 - Solid Background. I'm a scrapper who is usually "use ALL THE PATTERNS!" so sticking to a solid background is pretty outside my wheelhouse.

#22 - Photography challenge - close up
When your kiddo has lashes like this how can you resist taking pictures of them. I love a good close up detail shot.

21: Tutorial Challenge - Extracting
Extraction is one thing that I really struggle with. I use Photoshop Elements for my scrapping and it isn't quite as good as the full version of Photoshop. But, I've learned that if you take a fun photo and fun kit and add a stroke to your extraction it makes for a really cute added touch. #extractionsarentmything #itried

#23: Typewriter font. Most of the time when I include journalling on a page I use either a typewriter font or a cursive font. I love how neat it looks.

#15 Journal challenge - your greatest fear. My greatest fear is not being around to watch my kids grow. I fear leaving them unprepared for the future. I feel like the days are going by so fast and I'm wasting the time I have. This challenge enabled me to sit down and journal some of those feelings, and provide some advice to my girls. I plan to continue with the journal heavy pages for my girls.

#23: Typewriter Font

I love, love, love typewriter fonts and use them fairly frequently. This particular font (The Dry Ribbon) is one of my favorites, and it was perfect for telling this story:

[20] Solid background paper. I feel like my pages have been a little "busy" lately, so I wanted something a little more clean and decided to go for the solid background.

#9 - Think Green: Recycling

I thought this recycled cardboard background would help to lend some 'funk' and 'hip' to my page's fun theme as we are otherwise decidedly unfunky and unhip. :)

#23 Typewriter Font

I love the look of typed fonts on a layout! I have so many favorites that I use on my layouts! I can't get enough of the clean, typed look on my pages.

 
#10 When I grow up_: I modified it to 'when you grow up_' and wrote a letter of wish for my son, instead ;)

Square #23 - typewriter font
I use typewriter fonts often because I love the clean look of them. This is one of my go-to fonts, Traveling Typewriter. Can't get enough of the typed look!

 
#17 - The Great Outdoors - My favorite time of year in Texas is Spring. The weather isn't crazy hot yet and best of all, all of the beautiful wildflowers are out in full bloom. It's the best time to explore the great outdoors here and take some fun pictures!!
