Hey Hey Sweet Shoppers!

Can you girls believe that 1/3 of August is pretty much history? I can't believe how fast this month is flying by, but you should have had some time at this point to create some amazing layouts for this month's bingo challenges! Our babes have been busy, and I think you'll find their layouts below pretty inspiring!

So this week tell us... what is your favorite challenge on this month's card and which challenges are you least looking forward to doing?

#21 - In the round. This challenge could be interpreted lots of ways, but I chose to scrap the majority of my page in a circle. I don't often use big circles, but you know, I like the end effect so I might have to do this more often.

#20 - Back to Basics. Another challenge that could be interpreted in many ways. Many of my pages have lots of layers and heavy clusters. I thought for this challenge I'd go back to my basics of only having what was really important to me on the page, and that is: having the focus on one photo with an important heartfelt message. Once the photo, title and journalling were done, all I did was add some light embellishment that didn't take away from the photo/message.

#16 Connect - This one jumped out at me because off the top of my head I thought of several ways to interpret this challenge. I've been thinking a lot lately about how pervasive being plugged in is these days and the perfect kit showed up so....

#16 : Connect .... One of the ways we "connected" this summer was by attending the reading extravaganza held weekly at our local library. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time together and discover new books all while being exposed to some truly fantastic programs hosted by local musicians, thespians and magicians. Afterwards, the boys would enjoy a cool treat outside while we talked about our weekly reading progress and what we learned/took away from the special event hosted each week. Good times!

When I look through my gallery, my pages tend to have either pale neutral backgrounds, or bright and colorful, but I couldn't find any black backgrounds. I also tend to mostly fill my pages and don't leave a whole lot of white space, so this was different for me, and I really liked the result!

#21 - In the Round: I have a hard time scrapping rounded layouts. I usually stick to squares and rectangles. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to pull out one of Brooke's templates to stop out of my box.
