Belated Funny Story Monday

Why didn't y'all remind me?! I forgot! D'oh! *lol*

BF's son was in a bball league at the local Y. At the end of each mini-session, they give out generic trophies and serve hot dogs 'n' lemonade for lunch. As we're standing around letting BF's son play with some of the other boys, one of the moms from the team starts to talk with BF abt marathons: asking if he did the Mini this year, how he trains, etc. He'll take any opportunity to talk abt running, of course, so he's blabbing for 5-10 minutes until we round up BF's son. Even on the way out of the Y, he's suggesting how many miles this lady should run, etc.

After we get in the car, he turns to me and says, 'How did she know I run marathons? I didn't even mention that to her!'

I start to laugh as I pull his visor off his head and show it to him: the visor that says 'Runners dig 26.2.'

He says, 'Oh yeah.'

*lol*

Today I discovered that my computer can't read my camera. I *think* {read hope & pray} that I just need to replace the USB cord. But we're on this super strict budget and have very little extra money, so I'm telling Joel about my troubles, when he says,

"Just wait till Christmas, and you can get it fixed then."

To which I say, "That's ridiculous. Do you really expect me not to take pictures until Christmas?" His reply: "No, you can take them, you just can't download them till then."

I'm not sure which is more absurd, that he thought I could wait till Christmas to download ALL of my pictures or that he thought I could take so few pictures in the next 7 months that they would all fit on one card.

Kellie... YIKES! I hope it is just the USB cord, too.

Are you on a laptop? I'm able to use a card reader in my laptop for my DSLR, so I don't need the cord or anything else. It was pretty cheap. Maybe you would be able to do that?

Girls - I think Kellie means that if it's *not* just the usb cord then it's a problem to pay to have her camera fixed, I think she can get a new usb cord if she needs to. Right Kellie?
