Been wondering; SSD Relationships

I AGREE!! We need to soon! I can't believe it has been forever since our last lunch! Anyone else in Utah up for a meet up? :)
 
I've known Libby for at least 10 years and have met her IRL - she's the one who got me started digi-scrapping and to SSD.

I have a lot of paper scrapping friends who I've met IRL and still keep in touch with.

Otherwise, I try to keep my local real life and online life separate. I don't like to mix my two worlds. I'm weird.
 
Oh Lydia, since my son lives near you in Ogden, we should meet up sometime! I go there a lot to visit him!! And if anyone lives in the Orem/Provo, or Spanish Fork area, I go there quite a bit too!!

As for meeting anyone IRL, I have never met anyone IRL, but have talked with Katie the Scrapbook Lady on the phone and mormishmom.

I go to Utah all the time. My sister is in Orem, my in laws are in Spanish Fork, and my son is in Ogden. We have relatives all up and down the Wasatch Front! LOL
 
I got my BFF KeeMacKayMom into scrapping but she hasn't for a few years. I also met Kiki last summer when we went to Ottawa to visit family for a week.

i've met, heather, sara, sally, and laura banasiak and i are really good friends.

i would like to meet a TON more but that just hasn't happened.

Just noticed terrab is from Alberta. I am in Sask!! How many Canadians are on the boards? (especially western Canada)

I know it doesn't count here but my family are from Vancouver, BC and I have dual citizenship with Canada - hoping to work there in around 5 to 7 years time though

Manitoba here! :) Where are you in SK? My Mom's family are spread throughout the province there.

We are just 15 mins outside of Saskatoon. Where are you in MB?? Almost ALL my family is in southern MB.
 
I've met lots of online friends but none of my scrapping friends. I have, however, had tons of phone conversations with them over the years so that has to count for something, right?

No one I know IRL digiscraps. I have a few friends who still paper scrap but very few. None of my relatives scrap really. I sorta got my cousin's ex started on digiscrapping but its hard to teach someone long distance when you have different programs so I haven't been able to help her much lately.
 
Most of my family and friends don't get the scrapping thing or even the creative thing. I some time wonder how I came to be in the midst of people who don't need to be creative to be happy. I would love to meet some people irl who get why this matters to me. :)
 
My husband definitely doesn't "get it." I also have a group of friends that I met on Baby Center that I still talk to every day and he thinks they are a bunch of old, fat men posing as women. LOL!

No one I know IRL digi scraps, I know a few paper scrappers and the funny thing is that while they don't have the whole paper is better mentality, they don't really see what I do as scrapbooking. lol

I have known Sara (misfitinmn) for a while from over at a parenting forum. We've been acting as each others' cheerleaders for a while.
 
No family here for me, and I haven't met any of you IRL yet... but... I *did* recently figure out that Lena and I are very likely separated-at-birth mental twins. It's gettin' eerie, I tell ya... EEEEEERRIIE! LOL :w00t:
 
haven't met anyone IRL. i'm not quite as active on here as i was a few years ago. i'd love to be able meet online friends. i am really close to a bunch of ladies from an online playroom when i was pregnant with Emma and we have a group on Facebook.

i think a few of you live sorta near me, i live in Kokomo, IN. at least at one time there were a few near me lol.

Well, not only that... but my best friend from high school lives in Louisville... and my brother-in-law is in Evansville. So we actually end up down your way here and there. RUN! HIDE! LOCK YOUR DOORS! :w00t: bahahaha
