Been wondering; SSD Relationships

So I think I read in a reply to a thread by Kristin that she should let her sister do some scrapping for her and that made me wonder who her sister is. Then that made me wonder how many people in the forum are related or know each other in their non-scrapbooking lives. If you all don't mind sharing, I would be interested in learning the 6 degrees of separation of SSD. :)
 
Well my daughter made a layout. That was a long time ago. I tried to get her interested but nope. Maybe when he little one comes along she might want to do more. She will probably just expect me to scrap the pages for her :)

That is so sweet. Don't feel bad though, I've tried to teach my sister, my sister-in-law, my cousin and my niece. No dice. My sister does do a mean shutterfly album though. :D
 
Since she's so shy, and I'm so ummm NOT SHY, it's quite the contrast. Once, like 5 years ago when blinkies were still all the rage, she made a blinkie that said "Lena Brandenburg is my sister, I'm cool by association" or something like that. It cracked us both up :p Of course that's not my name anymore but YKWIM. She doesn't chat a lot in the forums, but if it weren't for her I wouldn't be a digi scrapper (or designer) at all.
 
my 1st CT gig was for Tabatha and Lena :wub: but I have met Kat IRL and my sister totally got me hooked on digi scrapping evne though she doesn't do it anymore LOL! And even though I haven't met Amanda {apphotos} I talk to her almost everyday and she pretty much knows EVERYTHING about my life :)I LOVE having an online friend that is one of my BFF's even though we have never met!!! Seriously, she gives me advice, we talk about how our days are, and pretty much everythign in between! She was the 1st person I called {and the 1st time I ever talked to her IRL} when I had to tough love kick my DD out before Christmas! {don't worry my DD is home and things are much better :) } I :wub: that girl )
 
No family here for me, but one of my IRL besties is a member here, but she lurks a lot too. She's stationed in England right now & at NCO training in Germany, so I don't think she's been scrapping much.

I got her started digi scrapping. Amber76. :) We met in Japan in 2000 when I we were stationed there together and then we were in Alaska together for 3 years. 2006-2009.

A few of the girls around here I've know via the Signature Showcase @ Ivillage. Jac, Katrina, Jamie, Annie, and others I'm sure l'm leaving some people out. We've been internet buddies since I was pregnant w/ Keira, so 7 years or so I've know these gals. :)
 
oh I forgot to add I have met Christy Lyle {use to be a designer here} a few times and she only lives about and hour to 1.5 hours from me in Canada :) I hope to meet Sheri {SeattleSheri} one day :)

I've met MandaBean (also a former designer & totally awesome!), Heather Roselli, Melissa Bennett & Leigh. Was suppose to meet Meg too, but something came up for her.

No family for me either. But, one of my best and oldest IRL friends is tanbanan. She was on Robin's CT clear back when SSD first began. She taught me the ropes of digi scrapping when I was first starting, and I love her to death. I'm also buddies with AndreaG, and I've met xboxmom and aly321.

And, this reminds me . . . Kim, are you making a Utah trip this summer? I didn't get to see you last year cause Kaylin surprised us by coming early. And, Aly, we totally need to get together for lunch again.

I have so many scrapping friends that I would love to meet in person. If any of you make it out to Utah . . . EVER . . . I really would love to meet anyone!
 
I've met Deb :) The post and photo from that is here. My hair was short, though, and she and I have both lost weight since then! :)

I've met Kim G (sprauncey1) as well :) And two other friends, but they've both gone away from scrapping for the most part.
 
I haven't met anyone on this forum IRL, but Alisa and I have known eachother online for years from an old baby forum. Someday I will meet Leah though since she doesn't live too far away and heads down here every once in a while. Right, Leah? ;)

You seriously just made my day! :wub: Yep, Ang is one of my BFF's. And we'll get to hang out in August, and if we're lucky before that. :hugs:

I have also met up with Heidi (scrappurple), and she is a doll.

None of my family or IRL friends 'get' it.
 
I've met Rebecca a few times and I've met Laura a few times


Joana and I go way back to when we were babywearing our first kiddos and we met in a babywearing group on a mom's/pregnancy forum and then she came here and it's so fun to hang out on a forum together again :)


Kristin (smallmoments) and I met on a mom's forum too where we were both admin... and then she introduced me to digital scrapping and SSD... and one of these days we hope to meet soon :)
 
I am so close to Dani and Shawna {my inlaws live in Portlan OR} that I hope to get to met them IRL one day too :)
 
I'd really like to meet some more people IRL but there aren't too many close by!

For those of you who have tried to convince their sister, bff or whoever to try digiscrapping... it took my sister something like 6 or 7 years before she finally convinced me to take it seriously!
 
No relatives, but I've met lots of digi people over the years. There was a digital convention back in the day that I attended, but most of those gals don't visit SSD.

Let's see... I've been friends with KCB since we were both digital DTMs at Pages of the Heart, met Emmy back in 2005 when she only had 3 kids (now has 6!), met LW + her kiddos this past fall, have stayed a long weekend with a former digital scrapper at her house outside DC, spent 2 weeks at a former digital scrapper's house out in WA, and a former digital scrapper drove down to be the photog at my wedding. *lol* I get around, I guess!

I can't wait for August when I can add a whole bunch of y'all to the list! :wub:

i sorta met you too back on a mommy board.. but i think i already knew you from sbbytes at that time I had just recognized your name or something I can't even remember.

Speaking of which just last week i was looking at my OLD layouts from sbbytes and found the one I made of you when i was taking screenshots from a live chat or something *giggle*

I've met sonja/tuneskids a handful of times back when she used to live close :)

One day soon i'm hoping to go to the oregon coast and that way i could meet a ton of ssd peeps :)
 
Well, I don't actually know anyone IRL, but Kristin just reminded me that Sonya/tuneskids and I actually are exactly the same age, she's my birthday twin. :) I'm not really aware of anyone "known" in digi-scrapping near me except for Jessica Sprague, and no, I haven't met her, sadly!
 
No family or IRL friends here- actually, I found the site on a whim. I don't actually have any family or IRL friends who digiscrap at all... I wish I did!

I've never actually met anyone from here, either. :(

I tried getting some of my friends into it, but so far, nothing... lol.
 
I've known Meg and Shannon since um... 2003? somewhere around there.

I've met Laura and Erin and Heather (isaacsmom). Hopefully will get to see Erin again on Sunday.
 
It's great to see all these relationships. Thanks for sharing them with me. I won't give up hope on getting someone else in my family to scrap. I figure I got seven years or so to work on it. :D
 
Oh i'd love to meet you gals! :D From SSD, I've only met Aggie, but I have a couple close scrap friends whom I've met. Time flies SO fast when we get to talking, hahaha!
 
I don't know any SSD peeps outside of the computer but like Mari said we've been friends online since....gosh probably 2006.

I'd love to meet more people, I'm a bit shy at first. I live on Long Island if anyone is around.

YES Mari!! We will absolutely have to plan for something some time!!! I would love to meet you IRL! :thumbup:

My dream is to someday meet KCB and Cindy, since I'm kind of in the middle of the both of them. :) We travel through ND and MN quite often too. Back when my girls were small and before the boy came along, we were out west and met up with one of my good online friends in Seattle. That was so much fun and I would love to do it again with some of you!!
 
No family here.........well that is active in the forums. My high school BFF and my little sister are customers here but don't participate in the forums.

I have met IRL Nikki Epperson. She is awesome! I feel like I know our sugarbabe, Nikki Hawkin's because we were blogging buddies before I even knew about SSD. She is the one that encouraged me to try digi and come to SSD. She is the best. I want to meet everyone! I just need to buy an RV and hit the road! LOL
 
I haven't met anyone in SSD but I live close to where Lex is :D - I hope to meet her soon :D

I also know a friend who is a big time SSD shopper (i think she knows Aggie too) - but she doesn't go to the forums either :(
