We were married New Year's Day. So, January. I wanted a spring wedding and to save some money for a honeymoon, but I was only able to push my mother in law off until winter. (She wanted a fall wedding. The sooner the better. And, no, I wasn't pregnant.) Everyone thought we were stupid to wait until New Year's Day and not get married New Year's Eve, but everyone gets married New Year's Eve (even my sister!)

We were married in July. I wanted a summer wedding to increase my chances of good weather. Our date was also driven by venue availability. We were engaged for over a year before we got married (we were engaged the spring of the preceding year). I really wasn't in a hurry for any reason.

We got married in December, the day after Christmas break started. Since I was moving out of state afterwards, I thought it would be good timing...I finished out the semester with my kindergarten class, and a new teacher took over when the spring semester started.

we got married in Dec beacuse we were both on Active Duty and it was the only time we could get off together (plus I was already 4 months pregnant :D)

We got married in November. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, so out of town family & friends would have time to travel. We got married at a local resort and many people arrived a day early to enjoy the start of the holiday festivities they put on every year. There was snow on the ground and you could see many of the holiday light displays from the room windows. It really added something to the very low key justice of the peace wedding and small reception we had planned.

Nov 6 - Cause we didn't want to wait! We only had a 3 week engagement. LOL

And fall is my favorite season, so doing an outdoor fall wedding was perfect!

We got married in June. We picked it because I wanted a summer wedding and it could NOT be in May (that was his previous marriage anniversary). AND we got engaged in the end of May of 97 and my parents were not thrilled. After a few months to get use to the engagement they said if we wait at least a year from our engagement that they would help pay for the wedding. DEAL. We were married June 98. LOL I think they were secretly hoping I would drop him like a hot potato before the time came but that never happened. They love him now. It was just a hard adjust ment at first. LOL

September. Did not want summer and all the hot and humidness that is summer in WI. Opted for the 1st of Sept, since Monday was a holiday (Labor day) it was perfect.

11 years on Saturday

September here. We got engaged on Christmas Day so I just picked a date far enough out to plan for. No real reason.

August 18th, no real reason other than he was unemployed when we got engaged and spent a few months teaching in Africa... it was a good thing we decided to wait that long because it took forever to find a job after he got back

September 9th. I love the feel of fall and back to school, and I didn't want it to be when it was really hot in summer or cold in winter, so it was either May or September. Turns out, September 9th was my parents original date to get married but they pushed it to the June before for some reason. Oh, and 9 is my favorite number and it just so happened to land on a Saturday that year. :)

It's fun reading everyone's stories. I wanted a spring wedding. We got married in May, 7 years almost to the day that we met. That wasn't taken into consideration; it just worked out that way. :)

April (Autumn). I'd returned from deployment overseas in December, and 4 months was all we were prepared to wait. My best friend and younger sister both had weddings a month before me, and my older sister got married the following October, so it was a busy year wedding wise for our family.

We got married on December 23 for a couple of reasons. 1.) Colby insisted that we had to get married in the winter, because he's busy farming the other seasons. 2.) I love Christmas decorations and our church was just gorgeous at Christmas. I loved the thought of not having to decorate the church. 3.) I wanted to be done with college and was graduating in December. We set the date and then discovered that my school would be getting out a week later that year. I graduated on December 18 and got married on the 23rd. It was total insanity.

we got married May 19th, 2001. It was a long weekend (Victoria Day up here in Canada, a week before the US Memorial Day weekend), so we knew that all our family could travel to be with us. We had already been engaged for a little over 2 years, dating for 2.5 years, although we had known each other for over 10 years.

We were married in Sept. Basically, we became engaged in March & there was no way I could pull off a May or June wedding while I finished school. We wanted to avoid the summer heat in July & August, but didn't want a long engagement . . . ;) So, September it was.

June. Because I'm a teacher. I would have LOVED a fall wedding but it's just not that great for a teacher's schedule. I picked June b/c then we could be married all summer before I headed back to school.

I originally wanted to get married in the fall, but we moved the wedding to July because we were building a house and it was going to be ready in July. I was living in an apartment in Lewisville, TX and he was in an apartment on the other end of Dallas so we built a house in the middle. Being in Texas a wedding in the July heat wasn't ideal, but we worked it out.

We got engaged in April and started planning right away because I wanted to have everything payed for BEFORE the wedding. The earliest we could book the venue we wanted was March, so we were engaged for almost a year...BUT, we had no wedding debt to start our life together!

March - because we had friends that were in grad school and that's when Spring Break was, plus I didn't want to have to wait until summer to get married. We were already living 4 hours apart. March ended up being perfect. Beautiful weather and all my family from Pennsylvania enjoyed coming down to Florida. :)

I had always wanted a September wedding like my parents. I cried and cried because our church was renovating and the sanctuary wouldn't be done until late October. I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it say, I think it was God's timing that worked everything out with the date, which is October 24. For lots of reasons, it was just perfect, including the weather that day, which in South Dakota, is saying a lot!

We got married on 7-7-7, a year + 1 week after we got engaged. I wanted an outdoor wedding and the safest bet was sometime in the summer.

October. We originally planned on March but decided we didn't want to wait. Since we would be moving the wedding up- October was the month that family were available.

I wanted to get married on 09/09/09 in Vegas, but hubby didn't think his mom's health would allow her to travel. We ended up doing it on 9/12/09

We got married in April b/c we wanted to have 04/04/04 as our anniversary date... That way DH only had to remember one number to get it right. teeheehee

We got married September 28, 2010 which marked the 9th anniversary of when I arrived in the Netherlands. We were engaged for 9 years and 9 days....talk about a long engagement. :) We had originally planned to get married in May 2010 but that was when his mom had surgery for intestinal cancer and we wanted her to be there. Since we got married in the US there was no way she could travel before September. We had a lovely outdoor wedding in Sedona, Az. with just us, his parents and the priest.
