Because God needed someone to yell at him...

Billy Mays dead @ 50

Considering that my kids don't even know who Michael Jackson is, it's funny that upon hearing about Billy Mays dying this moring, my 9yo got tears in his eyes, and I'm actually sad.

We have a history with Billy...we've been laughing at him since Connor was born and Billy first came on the scene with Oxyclean. We have lots and lot sof but wait there's more jokes in our family, etc. So this one makes us sad in a weird sort of way.

I couldnt put a face with the name iuntil I saw the picture with the article. That is sad. I wonder if the getting hit in the head like the article mentioned had anything to do with it. The autopsy will certinaly give more information and not just speculation on what caused his death. 50 just seems so young to just die unexpectedly

awwww, thats so sad! We loved Billy Mays here! And DH said he has really young kids (2 under age 10 he said) so thats even sadder! :(

Geez, this is like the worst week ever for Hollywood. How sad, he's so young to leave little ones behind.

omg, Darcy...
my dh watches Pitchmen and just loves Billy... this has effected him way worse than MJ passing. This is awful, he has the cutest little 4 year old too.

My ds texted me the news earlier today...I was surprised. We watch Pitchmen every week!
This article had a lot more info on what might have happened than our local news station.

Oh wow - that is sad. When he first came on the scene, I admit I thought he was annoying, but he became very likable.

LOL, about knowing who he is...my DH is always like why would I want to buy something that someone is yelling at me to buy.

My dd told me she saw it on the news around noon... So sad I hope it wasn't injury related from the plane :(

I liked him on Pitchmen, too, but in general, the yelling is quite annoying. This is incredibly sad. And I can't help but feel more "vulnerable" every time someone dies before their time, ya know?

Yeah, it was kind of a love/hate thing with us. He definitely can be annoying, but his enthusiasm was infectious and after a while you couldn't help but like the guy.

lol, same here. he's one of the reasons we mute the TV as soon as commercials come on. :p

of course, despite my personal feelings on his commercials, i feel badly for his family... especially his 3yr old daughter. :( so sad!
