Be careful what you wish for!

After years of wishing and wishing and wishing for snow in this area and it never coming, this is getting a tad ridiculous. When I want winter gone, I want it GONE. I took down all my winter decorations last weekend and put out my silk arrangements...forsythia, dogwood, hydrangeas...i want my SPRING dang it!!! There have been years that my kids played in water in the yard in February. For sure we usually are safe in flip flops by now and they are saying we should expect 2-3 inches of snow tonight? Yer kiddin me right? anyone else completely fed up?"?

I am! I am!!!! I am VERY ready for spring. I am ready to be outside and see lots of sunshine. I am just ready. We aren't getting snow here in Oklahoma but we do have cooler temps and lots of wind that makes it feel so much colder. Totally feeling your pain.

dude, come to where I live and then you are allowed to tell me you are sick of winter. ;) If I ever wore flip flops in February, I would be in heaven.

We've had almost 77 inches of snow in my area of PA.....I laugh in the face of your 2 to 3 inches :D :D :D We've had 50 inches in February alone!!! At this rate it will be June before I see my grass!!!

This made me LOL! I know what Amy means though. We never get snow where I am in SC either. I mean NEVER. Over Valentine's Day weekend, we got almost six inches (which is probably like 6 feet in northern snow terms), and we're expected to get more overnight. Sigh. Bring on the sunshine and flowers, dang it! :(

I'm in Georgia so we're getting the same wave that y'all are...we got a couple inches today!

but..the weatherman said it'll be high 60's this weekend...NUTS huh?

I would love to have snow here. Instead we had rain all day and the winds are up to 35 mph or more right now. It is supposed to be up to 80 this weekend though.

Well...I dunno about spring! I heard one of the weathermen say that it looks to be a very active spring...I'm fine with lots of rain but I do NOT want the tornadoes that often come with it!

I am so sick of winter! I believe this is the 5th snowinest (is that a word?) winter in central IA in the last 100 yrs. Last year we were playing outside in short sleeves by St. Patty's Day - not going to happen this year!

You're sick of winter? LOL! Try living here in Saskatchewan. We get our first snowfall in mid-October and the snow doesn't stop until end of March, early April. We have 6+ months of winter, and the other 3 seasons have to cram themselves into 5 months. Flip flops are broke out in July. I'm jealous.

Sorry Erin, blame it on my MIL for moving back there from California and leaving us.... I miss her tons but I hope she's freezing her arse off for leaving us!!! :D

And I am more than ready for spring!!! This rain can go somewhere else. I'm ready for some baseball and we've only had 2 practices because of this freakin' rain. Our first game is SUPPOSED to be on Saturday.

LOL Sorry but I just have to laugh...we've had the weirdest weather this year...11C last week, this week we get snow...but you do realize that Spring doesn't officially start until the 21st, right? So, I have a bit of a different view I guess...i'm grateful for the warmer days, but I know it is still winter and anything can happen.

Well it's one thing if you live somewhere where this happens all the time and you're used to it. Like someone else said, 3 inches here is equivalent to 6 feet in other places. It just doesn't happen like this, lol. that's what's throwing me off. Worst part is there's snow on the ground but the ground was too warm to hold much of it, so we got the yucky but still have to go to work and school, lol

Is it wierd that I'm still loving the snow? I do live in Norway, so I guess I'm used to it, but it can stay snowy for at least another month in my opinion;) Skiing, sledging, lots of fun! And my kids still play in the garden, I just put more clothes on them. The clothes are the only thing I hate about winter - I look forward to having a shower without having to remove at least two sets of wet winter clothes from the bathroom first;)

Edit:

This was my house on Sunday:

Oh break out those flip flops!! When it cracks 30 degrees here, out comes the shorts and sandals... it was 34 yesterday and I saw a lot of kids without coats on... Going to college in central Wisconsin, I don't think those guys every put away the shorts... LOL! Well, maybe when the windchill dipped to -40 below in Jan.

Crazy, crazy winter this year...

hmm, I think you never get to used to cold winters with lots of snow. I have lived in ND all my life (other than the 6 months I have done training in the military, but that was all in south TX in summer..lol) and I will refuse to ever 'get used to' our winters. ;)
