Although I always get excited to meet a new group of students, my heart is heavy this morning. The thought of leaving my two girls just crushes me. Gracie, my 2 year old, has really got use to having me home again. She never wants to leave my side. Today she will have a hard time with me leaving her I'm sure. Sydney, my 7 month old, is such a mommy's girl however she does love the lady that keeps her. Their sitter is just one street over from the school I'm at. I love my job but if possible, I'd give it up to stay with them. Argggggg I go through this everytime I start back to work. My morning will be filled with tears I'm sure. Why couldn't I have married a rich man? LOL J/K

Anyhow, please send good thoughts my way as I drop off my babies. sniff sniff

Aw, Mel. I can totally relate. In three weeks I'll be leaving my two boys for the first time ever. I've never worked before, but I'm starting a job as a school nurse aide and while I'm excited for this new venture in my life, I'm heartbroken at leaving my babies for the first time. I can imagine its going to be hard for us both. If you ever want to vent or cry or whatever, please feel free to PM me or whatever. I'll be feeling the same things as you, I'm sure.

Hugs! Fellow teacher here, so I know how you're feeling. I'll be going through the same thing in a couple of weeks. I'm used to it with my 4 year old, but the thought of leaving my 6 month old at daycare all day is making me sick.

I'm glad you have found someone you feel comfortable leaving them with during the day. That really does help!
