Back To School...

Has everyone's kids started back to school now? Today is Mason's first day back and they've got a pancake breakfast for the kids (teachers are putting it on). I have no idea if I'm supposed to go or not - suppose I should call! LOL!

I was SO paranoid this morning, though, after a month of not having to wake up early to get him on the bus, that I wouldn't hear the alarm and sleep in! DH has to leave by 6:30 am so he starts the alarm going off at 5...well, I've heard EVERY SINGLE TIME the alarm went off (every 5 minutes for an hour). I'm up WAY early, lol...I didn't have to be up until 7 but by 6 I couldn't take it anymore...rofl!

So yeah, I'm up and trying to wake my brain up a bit so I can get Mason ready. He woke up when I walked to the bathroom, so he's been up since 6 am too. I tried convincing him to go back to bed, but I think he's kinda excited to be going back, lol!!
 
I get paranoid like that too. I sleep through alarms ALL THE TIME! Lol!

That's so fun that he's excited to go back. I hope he always enjoys school that much! Lol!
 
Today is the first day of school for us, too. My DH is in grad school, so he finally goes back, and I get control of the house again. :) My DD also starts preschool again today...which I'm teaching, so I had nightmares all night long that things weren't going to go smoothly! LOL!
 
My kids went back last Thursday, but we had the same panic about missing the alarm after sleeping in for so many weeks. LOL! Especially with my older DD. She is so NOT a morning person and she has to get up at 6:30 to catch the 7am bus for intermediate school. Usually my husband, who is a morning person, makes sure our household is moving but he left this morning on a 6:30 flight for New Orleans to watch his beloved Ohio State.
 
I don't have that problem (no, not bragging either *lol*), but I noticed I have waking earlier than normal, so I'm sticking with it. Today is my son's 1st day back and oh yay snow, so it's a 2 hour delay. Just what I wanted to look forward to, NOT! Most of my staff will be in meetings today, so you betcha I'ma taking my laptop and do some scrappin..shhhhh ;) :thumbup:
 
Our school system doesn't go back until tomorrow...I normally go by their calendar but my kids however are starting today haha i'm evil
 
we don't go back until tomorrow either - it's a teacher day today (i'm guessing to finish up their grades, etc)....i'm thinking for the last day of break we might see Alvin and the Chipmunks!
 
Mine went back on the 2nd :) I rarely have problems with oversleeping because my youngest is up aroun 6:15am every morning
 
I sent him Benjamin off to school this morning, but I'm a bit sad, I miss him!

Everything starts back up full steam today, I was happy just to have time to sit around and do nothing! It was nice :)
 
Cameron started back at Kindergarten today. He was really psyched and so was I. I love that kid more that life itself, but he is SOOOO high maintenance and SOOOO busy that I long for the 3 1/2 hour break in the mornings. :)
He loves school so much and part of that is because my little sister (his Auntie Kelly) is his kindergarten teacher. Here's a pic of them on the first day of school...

Two of my three kiddos are back to school. My son is home sick today. He has a nasty stomach virus.

Yuck. What a bummer!! Hope he feels better soon.
My sister was not looking forward to getting her kids back today because she knows the'll all be acting like circus animals after two weeks off for x-mas. :)

Really, it's soooo nice to not hear fighting and bickering between Mason and Natalie. Natalie is still at home, but SO much more calm when he's not around to harass her! She's quietly playing with her toys, singing songs...ahhhh...peace!

Plus, today I get to have a nap! LOL! She'll have a nap at like 1:30-3:30 and Mas gets home at 4 - perfect! :D

I taught 3rd grade for a few years, and I always HATED coming back to work...for this very reason! :p
 
Anthony went back to school today too ... and Ellie went to preschool for the 1st time in a month! Anthony was easier to get up and get dresses than Ellie was. It was a cold rainy day today too :(
