Baby news :)

Today was the first sonogram for my daughter. Baby is growing well and everything appeared normal from what the tech could tell us. She could not say anything medically but told us the baby is active and moving, the heartrate is 147 beats per minute and she is like 80% sure it is a boy as it had a little thing in between his legs. She warned it is still early as she is measuring according to the sonogram at 13 weeks 2 days so she could not say defenitely it is a boy. I am hoping that when my daughter goes back to the doctor they tell her everything appeared fine. It was defenitely reassuring to see the baby moving and the heart beating and legs and arms and fingers and everything in the right place.

I am so happy I was able to be there to share it with her and her husband. They would only allow two people to be in the room with her so my husband told me to go ahead and go in. I wish he could have seen it as well but he was ok with just seeing the pictures when we got done.
 
I almost did not get to see it. My daughter was so uncomfortable after drinking so much water and she was sooooo moody (I thought it was bad before she got pregnant LOL). Well I started laughing and told her "You do realize this is not the worst pain you will have during pregnancy right?" She got mad at me. Which made me laugh more. I have no idea why I thought it was funny I guess that she thought it was so horrible and I know what else she is in for. I apologized for laughing at her and she calmed down. Kinda think I should scrap that for her baby book :p
 
So awesome! You know how much I love being a grandmother. I know you will as well. Can't wait for the journey with you.
 
Congratulations Jessica! Don't take your daughter's mood swings to heart. My mother made me nuts while I was pregnant. Just looking at her got on my nerves sometimes, but I loved her then and love her still. lol
 
oh and something else. Brought my camera and the tech said absolutely no pictures or filming at all. I have no idea why. I mean sure maybe they want to protect emplpyees but I wanted to get a picture of my daughter and her husband when they saw the baby for the first time and did not need to get the tech at all and if it was about flash in the room I could have turned the flash off :(
 
Wow! I'm always amazed at how much 'people' there is even when it is so small! What a beautiful babe! Congrats!
