Baby Gift Ideas

I need some great ideas. I have 2 good friends who are both having their 4th babies any day now. One's having a girl, and the other hasn't found out yet. Since it's their 4th, they both have all the necessary things...what would you suggest that I get them for a present? I'm thinking no more than $30 each, even though it would be nice to go lower.
 
My staple baby gift is The Miracle Blanket. This thing saved my life when DS was a newborn and every time I give one as a gift I always get a call about a week after the baby is born with a big "Thank You" lol... They cannot wiggle out of this swaddle and it would put DS to sleep in minutes when he was tiny.
 
You can make a diaper cake for both of them! They don't have to be very large! And then they would get the much needed diapers and other little goodies babies need (like those adorable onesies Amber made).
 
I WISH I would have had one of those when my twins were babies!!! I think that is a GREAT idea. I have done a basket in the past with all the little things...wipes, diapers, baby lotion, diaper cream, those awesome Huggies bath cloths (soap in them already, just get them wet...still use them too!!!) I have always gotten big thanks you's for that kind of stuff!!!!
 
yep..i was thinking the onesies too! they are SOO precious! i love making stuff like that and getting it for a gift WOW!!! You get SOOO giddy! love em! have fun shopping for the baby gift!!
 
Ooh, I'm really liking the baby cake idea. I've found some of the cutest ones online! We'll see if I can mimic those...
 
If you're at a loss for something else, they might appreciate the chance to go pick out the things they need or want at their favorite baby store. You could just do a gift card. I loved getting them. We bought our bumbo and a few other things with the cash/gift cards we got.

I made this one for my friend. I totally went over the top with it, couldn't help it. She's my best friend and this baby was truly a miracle. :)
 
I think the diaper cake idea is great, or something personalized; I do onesies and burp cloths:

This shop over at Etsy has the cutest baby carrying wraps and other goodies. Plus you're helping out a small business owner! :D I'm sure you could find a ton of other cute baby things at Etsy too!
 
Baby diaper cakes are a huge hit! :) Here's the one I made for my sister's shower last month- I used Pampers Swaddlers and instructions from Heather Melzer's cake here. Very fun and easy to make!

I started out looking at Etsy, but I didn't know where to look and it got mind-boggling! Too many cute things! So it's great to have a place to start. I love those baby wraps.
 
If you're generally crafty, check out www.babybouquet.com and look at the CUTE bouquets that are made with little socks and onesies! You could try something like that. :)

You could also get something like a photography package so the new mom can have baby portraits done or a family portrait with the new one if she wishes!

OR even an hour or two of maid service. :) I would appreciate that with four children!!!
