Avatar/Siggy help

OK I am loosing my mind. I just cannot get any of my saved avatars or siggys to the correct size/file size without losing so much detail. See current avatar/siggy for most recent attempt.

Do anyone have any step-by-step instructions on how to save them to get the best resolution and still stay in the guidelines? I'm on a Mac using Photoshop 2022.
 
your avatar and siggy look good to me *shrug* but maybe someone else will have more helpful input lol
 
Yeah, they look okay to me too. I love your siggy size and shadow.

I'm just wondering how you have a bigger avatar than most. I tried that and it won't let me, hehe.
 
The quality of signature looks fine to me too. Maybe try a different hosting site? It's possible it's getting optimized if you're noticing a difference.

LOL When I was trying to make it work, the forum told me I could do up to 200x200 pixels & under 28kb so I set that as my max when I saved it.

I always wondered why my pic was bigger. I felt too seen, lol! I don't know what I did when saved it to make it bigger either.

I'm late to this discussion, but I updated the settings for Sarah's avatar challenge to make them all the same size. They WERE different depending on the usergroup, so Babes had one size, community members another, designers, another... now they should all be able to be the same.

Max size for your signature is 500px wide x 150px tall and no bigger than 50kb in size (save for web).

Max size for your avatar is 150x150px and no bigger than 50kb.
 
HELP {I'm currently pulling my hair out} -- I can not get my signature to show up -- Can someone tell me what I did wrong??? I followed the tutorial and I am using Photobucket but can not get it to show up
 
You right click on your siggy in photobucket and copy address from the siggy, not the top address bar.

Try this:

Change out the link in between your IMG/IMG of your siggy settings.

You are missing a bracket and a slash on your code...

Try the above, but remove the spaces.
