Argghhh computers!

Not having a good technology day so far. Last night I went into the store and asked for a transfer of data from one phone to the other...they said it transferred an instead of me checking it I took their word on it and asked them to erase the data on the old phone. None of my appointments transferred...argghhh hoping they are all written on the calendar because I couldn't get the phone to sync with my computer.

This morning I go to boot up this laptop to take on the trip...it won't boot!!! Put in the system disk and it tells me no operating system found! So I fiddle with it a few times and it says it needs to destroy the system partition and then it tells me the data will be destroyed....well I have most of everything backed up... well I cancelled out and up comes my computer! :p Go figure. So running virus scan... going to bring my system disk and my CS3 disk with me in case I have to do a destructive recovery. I did NOT need this on my way out of town.

There weren't any 9-11 viruses circulating or something was there...or is that purely coincidental?

Wish me luck...I'm afraid to power it down. I may end up carrying a brick out of town and back....oh I hope not!

Oooof! That sucks! Good luck Sharon! I'll send positive computer vibes your way :) Have fun on your trip!

We made it to St. Louis...but afraid to power down the laptop in case it doesn't want to boot up again...would miss out on future sneak peeks. lol

Well my computer had problems again last week with not booting up...tech support said they think it is a motherboard problem...so my computer arrived at their site today...hoping I won't be without it long as my ds' laptop is extremely slow in comparison to my laptop. I miss my laptop.

ds' laptop has 1gb ram and it has vista so running PSE on it is slow. I'm having to use one of our oldest computers to check e-mail and chat just so I don't lock it up while scrapping. You should see me with two tv trays and two computers going. lol
