Are you an Olympics fan?

I just love the olympics! There's something so patriotic about representing your country. Of course I have some favorite sports to watch in both summer and winter olympics! Anyone else loving the olympics? What do you watch? And what country are you rooting on?
 
At the very least I like to follow the Medal totals at the end of each day and watch the highlights (some things just take too long to hold my attention). I do prefer the Winter Olympics over the summer ones though. Being from the USA but having lived most of my life in Canada I cheer on both teams (let me tell you that is a hard one to do during Hockey LOL).
 
I love watching the Olympics! We usually watch the recap at night right before bed because the time of year is always crazy busy for us.
 
We love the Olympics too. I love to watch some sport that don't get a lot of attention during the year like gymnastics or cross country. We hardly ever get to see that on Belgium television. We've watched it for every night for a few hours after work.
 
Not as much as I used to be... I still like it, but I don't have the time these days to watch hours of coverage. I mainly just check online to see what the medal tally is. I take a passing interest in most of the sports but swimming is probably the one most Australians follow because that's what we win the most medals in.
 
I love the Olympics, especially the gymnastics and the athletics.

I'm finding it hard to keep up this time for a few reasons, time zone and a 3 year old who won't let me watch!! London was my favourite because it was all in my zone so could watch it all lol.
 
I haven't had time to watch any :( Generally love gymnastics and athletics too and swimming, really enjoyed watching the winter olympics when that was on :D
 
I watch the olympics.
cheer for the netherlands or belgium.
was hoping for gold for tom dumolain in cycling yesterday.but he won silver.
normal the netherlands win swimmingmedals.but this year isnt so good so far.
and wow 21 gold medals for phelps in all those years.
 
I am OBSESSED!! It's pretty much the only thing I'll watch for the entire duration of the Games. I was actually thinking of starting a thread begging one of our designers to create an Olympics-inspired kit! :p

Jenn, I can't imagine being both an US and Canadian fan during hockey season! You guys take hockey very seriously!!

I should check medal totals more often, LOL!

Glad to hear I'm not the only fan. The coverage is annoying. So much waiting and so many commercials. I should watch it online....

I SO am!!!
I usually try to watch everything I can, considering time zone and all, and this year is even more special to watch everything, considering it is happening here, 600km from home. :)
I loooooove watching swimming, gymnastics, athletics and volley. Volley is totally my favorite. :)
 
I'm not really a sports fan or a TV watcher-I'd rather scrap, and I can't watch TV and scrap at the same time. (I know, I'm strange!) If other people in the house had it on I'd watch some and enjoy it, but no one here really watches much.

I love the Olympics! I watch non-stop. My favorite summer events are swimming, diving, gymnastics and track and field. After watching earlier this week, I have an appreciation for water polo.
 
It is fun to see coverage of sports we never get to see - like water polo, field hockey, rugby...never see that around here!
 
Summer games, I enjoy swimming, diving, and artistic gymnastics. Winter, I enjoy everything except the hockey. I'm the only one in the house who watches, however.

I don't watch hockey any other time other than the olympics - I LOVE it.. I do sorta wish professionals were not in the oympics in any sport though.. I'm sure that's not a popular opinion though LOL
