Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

I would have to lose about 40 odd kilos to get to what the doctor thinks is my proper weight for my height . . *sigh* . . I always have the best intentions when I make my new years resolutions but never really commit to it - maybe this year . .

I don't know... I have a Political Science degree and part of the job requires an ag degree. I may apply though. I just don't know what to do. lol. I'm not sure I want the other job because it requires a ton of travel and dealing with 4-H Mommas. lol.

Keep us posted, Marla, as to what happens!

4-H is an organization that teaches youth all sorts of things that usually have to do with farming/horse riding/cooking/etc. I was in it as a kid and loved it. I didn't do the horse riding part of it, but my nieces do now and they love it.

Well, it could be June before they replace my co-worker so I'll be "in charge" until then.

4-H Mommas (at least in our county) can be very, very mean and usually don't want to follow the rules. They think they are in charge and tend to forget that my employer funds their organization. lol.

Oh Kate, hope you feel better soon!!!

4-H sounds really cool, we dont have that here but there are probably other youth organisations that do that kind of stuff, I just dont know about them yet haha. We used to have a church group when I was young that had activites etc - JY's for the young uns and MM's for the 'more mature' kids lol. That used to be fun.

I am mega lazy today, I spent most of yesterday cleaning out my daughters room and tidying in general, now I figure I've earned a day playing with my holiday pics and checking out the shoppe!!!

Sorry you're sick, Kate! I'm all for laying down and curling up with a book...I hope you get to do that. Also, have you ever read the Maisie Dobbs series? I just found it this month for one of my book goups, and I really liked it. A nice take-me-away series with really cool characters and a nice mystery (not a shock the pants off you mystery, but some nice twists and turns that are not entirely predictable).

I have a newborn photo shoot at 10:30 this morning and then my hubby and I are cleaning out a "black hole" room that has not been in use for several years and only collected random crap. He actually needs the room now, so we have motivation to clean it out. I'm kinda skerred to do this project, but am thankful the hubby is helping me. If you don't see me ever again, it's because I got permanently sucked into the black hole abyss...eeek!

Oh my gosh! That is so sad! The sight of that cruise ship on it's side like that is scary. I hope they find some survivors.

Andrea, those Maisie Dobbs books look right up my alley! I don't read mystery much, but I love the setting of the books. I adore all things British LOL.

omg, back to work tomorrow . . had a lovely day sorting holiday pics, and trying to regain mojo - THAT didnt happen lol. Ahh well.

How did your scrapping go Marla?

Andrea, are you still in hte black hole?

I am so tired and sore. We did game night with our friends on friday night(yay) and again last night(Yay)....

and I'm so tired of car hunting.

I'm out of the black hole, Jenn! haha! It's about 2/3 improved, but still needs some more time devoted to it.

Good luck with your car stuff, Jenn!

I need to scrap like 3 pages, I hope I can get caught up 3 CT pages I need to get done! eeek!

And Kate, I ::love:: the Maisie Dobbs books. I'm halfway thru the 2nd book and I just love the series! :)

Back to work today . . sigh. I missed my lil girls!!! But not too bad a day for the first day back - got through about 100 of the 147 emails I had waiting for me LOL. Talk about feeling popular!!

It's great to see you back, Donna! Welcome!

Good luck on your car stuff, today, Jenn!

Kate, are you feeling better?

Marla, you were on that wheat grinding thread weren't you? I finally posted my recipe.

I've just been checking out skinny taste.com - have you guys tried any of those recipes and what were they like??? Suggest away, cos I'm hoping that I'll get inspired to cook more healthy stuff

Good morning everyone! I've never posted in here, shame on me!

We have awful weather today. We have some snow on the ground and now it's raining/snowing on and off. I don't think I want to leave the house today, even though I've been stuck in it for a week already because of sick kiddo.

Welcome, Julia! I like to just stay in the house when we have bad weather, too. If I don't have to be anywhere/get anything, I stay put!

It's frickin' freezing here today. Like literally below freezing LOL. (Of course, that's not unusual, but...) and yes, it's kinda windy. I just got out of they gym and am all sweaty and it was so cold coming outside...brrrrrrr!

Happy Australia Day! We have spent the day inside mainly (the rain prevented outside fun!) they littllies enjoyed making lamingtons almost all by themselves, was so cute.

Hope everyone's doing well xxx
