On an unrelated note, I am so tired of stinkin' football. I swear, we've watched twelve games this weekend. We just watched the Wis. vs. Ore. As soon as it was over, we switched it to OSU vs. Stanford.

By the way, go Ok State! I work for OSU. :) But after this game, I really, really really don't want to listen to another one.

Today was a hard day. We had a family member's funeral today. He took his own life on Christmas evening and we had to wait for his brother to get leave from Afghanistan for the funeral. He was only 23. So sad.

I'm so sorry. That's so sad and hard. My Grandaddy took his life in October and the family is still reeling from the shock of it all. Your family will be in my prayers.

Last day off from work today. I will have been off for 11 days...it's gonna be HARD to go back tomorrow!

We started homeschool back up yesterday after taking the week between Christmas and New Years off and, boy, was it hard!! (probably harder for me than the kids)

Sad my kids are going back to school today. But we did have a blast over the break, and we prolly need some sort of routine again - in pretty sure we'll all be in schedule shock, lol!

P.S. my boys and I did TEN 300 piece puzzles over our 12 day break!!! Don't worry, a page will be coming in the next week or so! :)

Jen, I guess I agree that commercials are weird. I barely see many anymore. With DVR, I watch almost nothing in real time.
 
Oh gosh. Last night, during one of the football games, there was this totally awesome commerical about getting rid of cable. I wish I could find it on youtube... It was like- if you keep cable, your daughter will see you behaving badly, copy you, get kicked out of school, get hitched to an undesirable, and then your grandbaby will wear a chain. It was hillarious. I actually made Colby rewind and watch it again. lol.

I don't hardly ever see commercials either, Marla, thanks to DVR, like Kate, lol. But that sounds way funny!

I was supposed to go home today but am really stiff so didn't feel like the 3 hour bus ride home so will probably go home on monday morning instead. Bonus to this is I can finish the December portfolio challenges too - I have 14 points so far, 10 in progress so just have to find 6 more points to finish up

Hey ladies! We went to a kiddo birthday party this morning and are all worn out! Brandon and Maylee napped and I scrapped! That was a nice little bit of quite time... (it's all gone now, of course)
 
I've been scrapping all day too, Kate. Yesterday, was totally insane. We shopping all.day.long in Amarillo and then went bowling. Left about 9 AM and got home about 11:30 PM. Needless to say, this morning we slept in. Tomorrow, we will be heading back because Colby has an eye doctor appointment. I hate that four hour round trip drive. Grr.
 
I made the mistake of looking at pinterest when I'm wanting something sweet. Now I'm having to resist the urge to go bake cookies or something.

Hullo girlies!!! Got back home yesterday, mammoth 14 hour road trip LOL. Have almost zero computer access in all that time!!! MEH!

I have been doing absolutely nothing today, just a load of washing and that's it!! I am only now motivated to start sorting all my pics from the trip . .
 
Okay, so my boss is totally leaving me girls! We have a two person office and he is leaving next week. Who knows how long it will take to replace him and I will be in charge until then. Honestly, I'm a bit panicked. I'm just the secretary... Now I'm going to be having to run the show! :(

Marla, could you get a promotion? I mean, you do have a degree, right?

I don't know... I have a Political Science degree and part of the job requires an ag degree. I may apply though. I just don't know what to do. lol. I'm not sure I want the other job because it requires a ton of travel and dealing with 4-H Mommas. lol.
 
well I've been offline since it is school holidays and traditionally our internet goes real slow - already had to email Robin for two order resets, hopefully no more.

Yesterday I joined the gym and swimming pool - have fitness assessment and workout program given to me next week so kind of anxious to get next week here now so I can start.

The travelling sounds a bit of a downer - but I'm sure you could do the other job!!! And not to sound ignorant, but what are 4-H Mommas??? LOL

Well I'm not exactly motivated but I need to lose a fair bit of weight - I had a gastric bypass done in 2003 when I was 15 and although it worked for a short time I am now 14kg heavier than my lowest post bypass. I would be absolutely thrilled if I lost 30kgs because that would put me back down to under 3 figures. To be totally honest I need to lose about half my body weight to be the right weight for my height (I'm a shorty :) )
