Thanks Andrea. Yes, it was right near my house. I cross those tracks all the time, although it was a little eerie when I crossed them tonight. :thumb down: I actually already had her name from my friend here, but I hadn't thought to go look at her FB page. I can see her Wall and profile pics but nothing else. Do you know where in Centerville she lives? Cause I see that my parents' next door neighbor is one of her FB friends. That makes me think she may be in my parents' Stake or even maybe their Ward. My parents' house is just East of J.P. Stewart, but they're on a mission in Mexico, so they probably haven't even heard about this. I'll have to Skype them tomorrow.

The last update we had here was that she's in a medically induced coma but that she is responding to some commands and can move her extremities (hands and feet) when asked. The docs feel good about her prognosis. So, that is all good news, but she will have a long recovery.
 
I still need to go to the store for all my Thanksgiving meal stuff... Ugh. Thinking I better just drive to Walmart. Too bad it's an hour away.
 
Andrea and Lydia, I'm praying for your friend. I really hope all turns out well.

I still haven't shopped for my TGiving dinner, either. I think I'm gonna do it tonight. Bleh.

You guys have to check out my newest LO I did with a Cindy temp. I think it's one of my mostest favoritest LOs I've ever done LOL.
 
that is pretty epic. tomorrow also happens to be 4 months since this thread started. I think we should hit 2000 by the end of the day in honor of it, lol!

I'm watching a major Star Trek marathon lately...right now I am listening to Voyager while I scrap, lol
 
Awesome. I'm fighting with our internet provider and now have to keep a journal of my internet usuage for the next two weeks. We signed a contract for "unlimited" internet in February. Well, they just decided to limited our usage to 4 gbs in July.

Our usage:

July- 2.2 gb
August- 5 gb
Sept.- 11 gb
October- 15 gb

And we've already used 11.3 gb halfway through the month.

Our bill doubled this last month. And I just started a new job that keeps me out of the house and off the internet. It's driving me nuts. I have no doubts that I could use 15 gb a month, but I don't understand why it keeps getting bigger and bigger every month and our usuage hasn't changed (well, except me being out of the house for nine hours a day).
 
Sounds like someone might be stealing your bandwidth. I'd make sure while you are out of the house that your modem is unplugged to make tracking even easier.

See we live out in the country (no neighbors) and it barely reaches the whole house anyway. Could they steal it remotely?

I'm so glad I hang out with girls who are more technology savy than me. lol
 
I wouldn't have any clue how to test how much bandwidth I'm using.

I talked my mom into doing my grocery shopping for me today...bwahahaha! Dodged that one...

Dang. I am so jealous. I have a headache, so I'm putting that off another day. Can you imagine how busy Walmart will be when I finally get around to it? Haha.
 
our statement might list it, I'd have to look and see, lol. I'm not sure when the next bill is due to arrive, I know I have an old one on file I can dig out.


I love my mother, but I wouldn't let her do my shopping for me. I've cooked more turkey's than she ever has....and she freely admits I am a much better cook than her. Plus, we went gourmet for thanksgiving this year
 
Okay, I'm off to bed. I've got to turn the internet off, so it's won't use a ton of data on it's own while I sleep. :cursing: I hope you all enjoy sweet dreams.
 
hey everyone, sorry I havent been around, things are really stressful for me at the moment. Hopefully things will be better next week, but I may not have a job then so *sigh* I dont know. It's better that I dont post when I'm feeling this way

Jen, sounds like we have similar mothers LOL! My mom is NOT a cook and I very much am. This is how I send my mother to the grocery store. I write the list, in the order of the store isles (yes, I know the damn grocery store so well I know where every single thing is haha), and write down brand names of every single thing I wanted. Since I meal plan, this is easy. The only thing she had to pick out herself was the turkey. I put on the list "A big ass turkey" and she did just fine! LOL She picked one big turkey!
 
lol! I used to know our local store like the abck of my hand, but they just finished up a HUGE remodela dn only 5 aisles didn't change majorly.
 
Oh Kate, that is too funny. My mom doesn't cook either, but I do. Seems like we all have that in common.

Donna, I hope you're okay and everything gets better.

Lydia - she lives in the Brookhurst ward, which I think would be your parent's ward, right? That is, if they are West of Main St. I haven't been to her house, but I know her kids go to JPS Elementary.

Kate - I loved your page, and left you love. LOL on your grocery "list" - sounds like you will have a delish dinner!

Marla - WTHeck on the usage thing, wow! I have no clue what I use (in fact, I'm kinda skerred to know, lol). I think Jen has a good point that someone could be tapping into your service and using it, especially since you're working everyday and gone for 9 hours. I think you should unplug your modem, like Jen said, to see if that effects your usage. Kind of a pain, but worth it if you can find out.

Jen - gourmet dinner on Thanksgiving, egh? Impressive! I cook normal, no speical powers like the rest of this lot. lol!

Donna - Sorry you're having stress, sweetie. Good luck with your job. Are you able to keep on your non-smoking quest, I hope?

We have the funeral for my hubby's grandmother on Monday. Everything is going well in the preparations. Hubby is doing well, but it is still very sad for him. Bless his heart.

I did get to go and see Breaking Dawn at 6pm yesterday at some Premiere that Tana got us tickets to, so that was cool to beat the crowds. if you guys are into the Twilight series, I have some discussions going on my fb about it. But there are spoilers, lol. It was really nice to have a GNO - 7 of us went together and it helped me process some other drama I'm having at the moment (I'm usually not a drama person), and it was good to get out and do something fun when I've been pushed over the edge lately with stress. I feel a little better today and am looking forward to the weekend. I think I will scrap since it's been since DSD that I've made a page!!! sheesh!
 
Ugh... I'm not that big into Twilight. I read the books, but have only watched the first movie. I will probably watch this one when it comes out on DVD.

I have a photography business and things have been extremely show. Well, I just booked a session for the Friday after Thanksgiving. This is fine, but now it totally has me stressing out because I'm cooking Thanksgiving for my family on Saturday. Now when am I going to get all those pies baked? :(
 
Oh, sorry you're gonna be crunched for time, Marla. I'd make them Thursday night or early Friday morning.

Though I'm no huge Twilight fan, I did read the books (some were better than others) and have seen all the movies. I go with a girlfriend of mine and we ooh and aah over the pretty boys. It's fun ;)
 
We're doing pies tuesday night for thursday afternoon, so you could make them wednesday or thursday night and be fine, I think.


I am SO sunburned. I was outside all day and it was only 40 something degrees + windchill, so I didn't even notive the burn until I got home and looked in the mirror
 
OH no Jen! the worst sunburn (well, 2nd worst, but that's another story) I ever got was on a windy and overcast December day. That sun can be a b!tch! Of course, I just LOOK at the sun and get a sunburn. I'm very fair-skinned. A princess, you know ;)
 
One time, when I was in the forth grade, I went snow skiing and lost my sunglasses. I ended up burning my eye balls. It was soooooooo painful.

Those cloudy/winter sunburns are the worse.

True Life...I didn't know Fro-Yo was frozen yogurt until I was a teenager. So tonight I had cake batter fro-yo, with multicolor sprinkels, brownie bites, hot fudge,a nd whipped cream. NOM!
