Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

Lydia - you wear your new "do" well, sista, you look fab!

Thanks sweetie!

Where are you Andrea? Not in Centerville, I can tell. I was over there today during the snow storm. So fun! But, I had to hit Costco, and whenever I'm over that way I go to Dick's too.

This was our second snow storm. But, so far, I've actually enjoyed them. It hasn't stuck to the roads or sidewalks and it just looks pretty. Driving down Main Street in Farmington where all the tree hang over the road - it's just gorgeous! But, ask me in a month or two and I'll have a different opinion. :)

Oh - and thanks for calling me Lyd. It makes me feel all warm inside. :D

I love to look at snow and play in snow, but I hate driving in snow or shoveling snow or being cold, lol. I haven't seen real snow since early 2006. I haven't been anywhere near a true winter since then, so my blood is thin and I call 50 cold, lol.

I'm feeling super crafty today. so far I've made a headboard for our bed, now I'm working on some throw pillows too. I just need to pick up a couple of solid color pillowcases to use as backing and they'll be ready.

I really have no idea how I survived before my iphone...I'm loving sitting on my couch, catching up on DVR'd stuff, and using my phone to read the forums and catch up on facebook from today. Now if only it would fold the laundry and do the dishes.

Thanks sweetie!

Lyd, I flew down to St. George to see my parents before they move to Maui for 4 months to be with my brother and his family. And, when we fly home tomorrow (I have my youngest son with me who's 6) we'll take her little 3.5lb. dog (named Lily) on the plane and deliver her to her doggie sitter. It's been gorgeous down here, I'm pained to leave tomorrow, lol!

I love Dick's market and Costco! Def favs of mine! Dick's has a few items that no one else in town has, and I only can get them there. :)

cafe rio??? WHIMPER!

I totally just made a headboard for our KING SIZE bed....for about $50 bucks!

Jen, we ::love:: Cafe Rio! (sorry to make you homesick, lol!)

We need pictures of your $50 headboard! Please show us, it sounds way cute!

And I agree with you, I ::hate:: driving in the snow. That's why I don't live on the bench, we are in the flat valley floor, on purpose!

And iphones are the BEST! I wake up 5 minutes early each morning so I can lay in bed and check my emails, etc. It's an awesome way to start the day. Not to mention if I'm waiting to pick kids up somewhere or at a doctor's office, boy the iphone comes in SO handy! :) They are the best, I'm so happy you got yours, and you still have the all time, cutest evah, layout on your iphone! :)

I grew up on the bench, and the first time I drove in snow was that big blizzard we had about 8 or 9 years back where we got 4 feet in 3 days over christmas, lol. I learned quick, and its a skill I never want to use again.

I will post pics of the headboard tomorrow once it's finished being mounted on the wall. and after I put the right sheets on my bed so I don't have mismatched pillowcases, lol

Actually, input wanted...hang the headboard higher? lower? right now I've got it sitting a few inches above mattress height, because I don't want the pillows to block it completely.

This is the inspiration for the room, it's a sea glass chandelier

Cool, cool, cool headboard, Jen! Awesome job. I vote for it a little higher, myself.

Watched a movie with DH tonight and scrapped. Just kinda vegged today. Gonna be gorgeous tomorrow, so we're gonna do some yard work and maybe put up Christmas lights (DH doesn't know that yet ;))

You did a great job, Miss Martha Stewart (Jen)! I agree with Kate - maybe a little higher. Your light is awesome - I lurve it!!! And the headboard matches everything really well!

Good luck with your secret Christmas lights project tomorrow, Kate! :)

Cool headboard Jen! I'm with Kate - maybe a little higher.

And, Andrea, be safe coming home. I would be scared to fly to St. George or back. It's gotta be a small airplane. Yikes!

Love the headboard Jen, I think a little higher too - AND I LOVE YOUR LIGHT - that is the coolest I have seen for ages. My daughter wants it too hahahaha

I've had a pretty uneventful day . . scrapping, then a nana-nap this arvo, then fell down the back stairs!!! Omg, pain is not my friend LOL. I had a massive instant bruise on my hip where I landed on the corner of the step . . glad I've got something to show for it :p

I have no idea what Dick's is, or ANY of these drool-worthy eateries you all have mentioned!! Cracks me up in a way, that things are the same but so different between USA and Oz . .

Thanks Ladies! I'm going to have to play around with height, and see where looks best.

The light we picked up for $25 on Tybee Island. It was the starting point for the entire room, I'm in love with it. I actually have a miniature version with more greens in it for my bathroom, lol

Hi girls! I've been vegging all weekend. I haven't done a ton of scrapping, because I have no inspiration. Oh well. I'm really needed to go to the grocery store, but I'm dreading that.

Wheeeeee! Good for you! I don't think I'm even gonna attempt the portfolio this month...for the first time since I started hanging here. Just too much going on!

I haven't done the portfolio since AUGUST 2010. I'm easing myself into it with the goal of doing it monthly starting in January.

Hope you're ok, Donna. Very graceful... ;) ♥♥

HAHAHAHA :p

Got some beautiful bruises to show for my stunt, AND I had to wear no shoes at work 'cos my toes was owwwwchies lol. No one noticed cause I wear black socks so that was good

Somethin funny happened too - my team leader (otherwise known as the laziest man on this earth) got 'promoted' today . . he must have thought he was gonna be cruisy, telling me that I'd have to organise this and that for his peeps . . turns out NO I dont have to AND he's gonna have to drag his lazy butt outta bed to do huge travelling for clients for the next 5 weeks!!!!

So I'm calling that my Chrissie present, and I'm a happy lil Vegemite (geez I'm a nasty piece of work) LOL LOL LOL

Poor Donna. Hope you're not feeling too badly :( And awwww. Poor bossman. Gotta actually do some work. I TOTALLY know what you mean, though. I have a few peeps in my office that could use a swift kick in the beeeehind.

Awww... sounds like a great way to spend the day, Jen.

I'm getting a few things done around the office. The boss man is going to be out most of the week, so things will be a little slow. This will probably be the slowest week of my life. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but it will be slow.

Glad you had a good time, Jen! Sounds awesome! I'm partial to little girls, myself ;)

Marla, I hate slow days, and slow weeks are even worse. I feel ya, girl.

I'd welcome a little slow here. I'm busier than crap. I hate this time of year. SO busy!

Oh my gosh, girlies. We have had the craziest/scariest morning ever.

As you all know, my husband is a farmer on harvest right now. Well, after they cut the corn, they put it in big semis and move them to the grain bins where they are stored until the grain is sold. Well, my husband's grandpa (so my grandfather-in-law) was driving back from the grain bins and a pickup pulled right out in front of him. He hit it, but amazingly both of them are perfectly fine... not even hurt. The semi trailer and pick-up were totaled, but everyone lived. It's really quite amazing.

I have been so scattered brained since finding out though. It was really one of those wake up moments when you realize that an accident can happen... even in your own family.

Oh Marla! I am so glad everyone is okay, how scary!!

Kate, hope you get a little bit of slow in there to make your day better!

Jennifer, hope you feel better soon!

Okay, girls... My day keeps getting worse. My sister (she's 20) has been having super high blood pressure. Well, her doctor called her today and told her she had a tumor on her kidney. He's refurred her to a specialist. I'm freaking out here. Please, please, please pray for my sister. Chances are good that this isn't cancer, but it still completely scares me.

My husband is a cancer survivor... He got it the first time when he was sixteen, so I realize that this could be a real thing.

holy poop. I just changed the poopiest diaper of my life, so far. Babysitting my ballerina princess and her 2 month old sister tonight, and little miss baby pooped alll the way from her armpit to her ankle on one side and up the back and down to the knee on the other....
