Kindle ADDICT! I don't go anywhere without my Kindle. I read books while I cook dinner, or am waiting in line at the auto shop to get my oil changed, etc. I got mine back when they were $200+ each. SOO worth it. I've loved the additional functionality i have gained from it as well, and love not packing books in bulk. DH used to joke with me for the trip back home we'd have a bag just for my books...Now I take my kindle and a magazine. He got one too after he kept trying to steal mine. Will a Kindle replace paper books? No. But it sure makes it a lot easier for me to read now with having it.
 
I had a 2.5 hr meeting tonight, 45 minutes from home. so i really was gone for 4 hrs. I am so tired. I just want to go to sleep. I think I just might....
 
My son, Sam, had the Pinewood Derby tonight, and we were a little worried, since last year he took dead last in every race he raced in. Guess what happened tonight? ::shock:: he was the grand champion! There's a picture on my little facebook page, for those of you who I've got on fb!

He's ::so:: excited! It was fun! Quite the comeback, egh? Yay, Sam! (honestly, we were aiming for one race with a 3rd place, lol, we never dreamed of first, especially after last year!).
 
aww yay! how awesome! my brother's pinewood derbies were so fun, I LOVED the year we had a YW pinewood derby. I actually still have my car somewhere, lol!
 
My dad and brothers were always way into pinewood derby. They got all scientific and exact when making their cars. Lol. What a great thing for Sam! :)

I am having so many problems finishing a dang layout these days. It's driving me nuts.

And, of course, could I remember to bring the Flip to video any of it? Nope. BUT, I have ::tons:: of footage of him loosing ::every:: race last year... lol

He's way excited, it was really cute! :)

LOL @ Kate - I may be that way myself once I get a Kindle (if it happens). At the moment scrappin has to win cos I'm supposed to be giving like 10 photo books this year for Christmas . . and instead of having one book & 10 copies, I'm doing individual ones . . *sigh* :blink:

hey just found a kindle app for the iPhone - would that work?? Maybe the screen is too small?
 
Kindle App for iphone is nice, but it hurts my eyes to read on that screen for very long.

I seriously slept for 10+ hrs. Apparently I really needed the sleep.
 
Since the time changed, I've been lucky to stay up after nine. I just get so sleepy and can't hold on... And I don't even get home until five... That might explain why I can't get a dang layout done this week. I can barely eat supper before I'm passed out. lol.
 
I've been worse since the time change too. I'm just trying not to get behind on sleep...last time I was pregnant it was very normal for me to be sleeping 14 hrs each night, plus a daytime nap. We're considering trying again in the spring and I really don't want to repeat that amount of sleep, lol, I got nothing done.
 
I used to have horrible insomnia before I started working. Now that I'm on a pretty strict sleepy schedule, I am actually sleeping again. That is totally one huge benefit of working... I'm acutally getting more sleep now than I was when I was unemployed.
 
I had a horrible night last night, but the couple nights before that I actually got some good sleep. Well, I should say, when Maylee has a good night, Mommy has a good night and the other way around, too :) :(

I have a 3-day weekend and I'm SO looking forward to it!

Oh! And I got my PC fixed! And I scrapped a page! I remember how to scrap! w00t! (of course, it's not an SSD LO, so it's not in my gallery here LOL)
 
YAY! so glad you got your computer back Kate!

I got little sleep when working because I didn't work set schedule. I started work as early as 5 am, and got off as late as midnight, all within the same week. it sucked.
 
Hey girls! Been a crazy day, I've taught a PSE class out of my home, went on a fieldtrip with my oldest son, went to Costco, and now I have to eat lunch (it's so late, I'm starving!) and then pack real quick and hop a plane to St. George (Jen will know where I'm talking about, lol!) that leaves at 4:30! I'll have my computer with me and will be home on Sunday night. Just taking my youngest down to see my parents before they move to Maui for 4 months to visit my brother and his family, and then we're taking my parent's dog on the plane ride back up to deliver her to the dog sitter while they are gone! phew!

P.S. Have we heard anything yet about Cindy's CT??????
 
Ahhh, blast! I guess I didn't make Cindy's CT, dang it! From what I can tell, non of the threadkiller girls did. :( Oh well. We all made killer pages, right? And, I will love Cindy's templates until the day I die! :)

HI everyone!! Just off to work . . it's Remembrance Day here today, so a minute's silence at 11am on 11/11/11 . . off to get some poppies before work and make a donation to the RSL :)

Kind of bummed that I didn't make Cindy's CT, as I felt this was one of my best layouts ever, but what matters is that I love the layout.

It's a blustery day here now, and we're going to go hang out with some friends tonight and play cards. yup, it's hand and foot night! this also means I get to play with a toddler and a newborn, wheeeeeeeeee!
 
My weekend plans? Well, it's going to be a beautiful 70 degrees today and tomorrow, so I'm going to try to run both days. Then I've got to make the harvest crew lunch tomorrow. But I totally plan on cleaning out my DVR and doing a little scrapping, too. I'm way behind schedule on my portfolio points.
 
My 3-day weekend has begun! I've had a roast cooking in the crockpot all day, and now I'm making some carrots to have along with it. Mmmmmm. I LOVE carrots. My DH came home from work grumpy, so Maylee and I are going to see what we can do about that mood. We don't need any grumps around here!
 
someone want to come vacuum my office floor? it's covered in paper scraps. working on my DD/JYC album and it requires a LOT of paper punching......
 
Project un-grumpify hubby is complete. Now kiddo to bed soon and then I'm gonna scrap scrap scrap! I am still just so happy I have my computer back!

I've been scrapping up a storm, but none of them are ssd pages so far, so I'm gonna have to get a few done for here.

Donna, how are you feeling? How's it going? You're almost at that 2 weeks mark and I couldn't be more proud of you! You can do it!
 
Holy crap. Today is 11/11/11 and we've already received an incredible blessing from a family member. Hoping the rest of today continues to go so wonderfully.
