I SO hate Walmart. I've gone to Walmart like 3 times in the last 7 years. I avoid it like the plague. I think I've had the plague more times than I've been to Walmart, actually. I do not envy you, m'dear.

I've not set foot in Wally World for 9.5 years. I even went to the city hall meetings to campaign against it coming to my town (but it came anyways, awk) and I have never set foot in the newer one they built 3 miles away from me. I don't have issues if other people go there, it's just a personal decision I have, I think Wally World is evil and they're trying to take over the world. That is all.

I agree. But I'm cheap, and sometimes it has the best prices. and when you live in podunkville and the nearest store beyond walmart is 40 minutes...yeah, sometimes you get desperate.
 
I hate Walmart too, but I force myself to go there from time to time. I find Target to be so much more enjoyable, but the nearest one is two hours away versus one hour for Walmart.

And our local grocery store sucks big time.

We have a Target 3 miles away as well. The Wally World and Target are in the same block. For us, it's easy to avoid Wally World, since we have other options, but when you really have nothing else, I don't know how you would be able to avoid it. I love my Target store! I spend way too much time there, haha!
 
yeah, I'm from a podunk town, too and Wally world was the only option we had. Now that I don't live there anymore, I go to Target and/or K-Mart. I hate Walmart for the same reasons, Andrea. I'll go there if I have to, but it's a personal decision for me not to go, really. But I absolutely understand that it's the only option for a lot of people.
 
This should tell you how tiny my town is, FYI. We have 3 stop lights in town. One at the main intersection, two at the freeway on and off ramps at either end of town. We do have a 24 hr grocery store, but thats about it, lol. Everything else we drive the 40 minutes to base, the 40 minutes into town, or the 15 minutes to walmart.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who felt this way! And Jen seems to agree as well. Glad you made it in and out so fast, Jen!

Is anyone else excited for DSD? Dang, the kits that Libby is coming out with alone are serious eye candy and have been so much fun to play with! :) eeeeee! So excited!

Our entire COUNTY has NO stoplight. Haha. I think it's only my county and a few in Wyoming that can say that. Quite the accomplishment, really. And we have one grocery store and a dollar store that we got last year and we oh so excited about. Haha.

And I am way excited about this weekend! I can't wait for all the activities.
 
My uncle is out of surgery finally, it took a bit longer than expected but everything went very well and the surgeon is pleased with how it went. He's going to be in the ICU until sometime tomorrow, and as long as he is stable and does well will be back in a regular room by tomorrow night.

Glad you Uncle's surgery went well, Jen. And I'm glad your excited that your friend will be in town! Yay for you!!

I have most of the day tomorrow to do DSD stuffs. My DH is taking DD to his parents, so I'm gonna get down and dirty at DSD!!

My power supply is about 30 minutes from my house at the distribution center. I wish I could drive up there and get it LOL. I really hope it's delivered today!! If it is, I think my guy will come install it for me really quickly. I could have my baby back for DSD! Oh, to have scrapping back would be awesome!!
 
Yeah, I traced it, but it's kinda confusing. You know how FedEx sometimes delivers to the USPS and then THEY deliver it? I'm not sure if it's one of those scenarios or not. If it's USPS, I'll prolly get it tomorrow. :| So I'm crossing my fingers for FedEx all the way, baby!
 
It just took me two hours to go through the new release thread. I kept getting distracted by work, but there is so much GREAT stuff there. I can't wait for tomorrow! I'm staying home and doing NOTHING but scrapping. Lol.

Also, I somehow got hot coco on the front of my shirt this morning. :/
