Donna, I'm seriously considering being done with the binders and sheet protectors and just doing the albums, like you're talking about. It seems like it would just be lots easier...the whole organizing part and then taking the time to put the pages in sheet protectors, getting a butter knife to unscrew the binder/book thing I have to put them in, awk.... yeah the albums are sounding WAY better to me now....
 
I do mine by duty station, lol. So all our Italy photos will get printed and in one album(or two, depending on how many I end up printing). All our GA photos will go in 2-3 albums, etc. I do mini albums for trips back home and such. I try to put them in some kind of order when they go into albums, but I don't stress it too much as long as they are in the correct album.

Sounds like a good system. I think I can probably get mine into, say, 6 month increments. I can identify the picture and get it within the right timeframe. That's good enough for me!

Yeah, I am working on getting the first batch ready to print, and I'm just separating them by season and year, lol. I figure that way they are roughly in order.
 
I'm like obsessive about time frame and my spreads must match... so I LOVE doing two-pagers. This year, I am doing the 365 project and each week has a page. In between the pages, I am putting whatever else I scrapped- holiday pictures, etc. I can't wait to get the completed photo book in my hands.

You ladies need to print. For real. :)

I'm thinking the same thing! Makes me more motivated to try, especially not having to think about EVIL sheet protectors...

Maria, you're awesome to do the Project 365 with a 2 pager each week, wow! I'm just not on that level, and don't know if I will ever be, lol!
 
my poor car :( so, what was supposed to be a few hours in the shop to have some valves tightened has turned into possibly a week or more in the shop. My poor baby has some lovely massive problems. They ordered the first part and its due in today, and after that we'll see what else might be needed :( so I am driving a rental right now.
 
Random and completely off topic but I am currently on training for my new job. I'm staying in a motel and slept SO BAD last night. People started getting up at 4 and I think I heard everyone within fifty rooms take their shower and then slam the door as they left. So annoying.
 
Bummer to both Jen and Marla!!

Jen, I SO hate car problems and can relate. I finally own the nicest car I've ever owned, but still managed to need to put it in the shop last month for a few days :(

How long do you have to be away, Marla? I hope not long. It's hard to sleep in unfamiliar places and without the hubster.
 
Thanks, Ladies. I will get home late tomorrow night... so I will be away a little over 48 hours.

Jen, we must have been posting at the exact same time, because I didn't read about your car. That stinks. I hope it's fixed fast!
 
I hate that my poor baby is broken. It's only 2 years old, and we have the mega extended warranty so the only thing I have to deal with is the cost of gas for the rental, which is nice.

Part of the reason it will take so long is because it is so new. Cars less than 5 years old on average take 3 days longer to fix when they have major problems. Why? Because not enough of them have broken yet for the problems to be considered 'normal' and to be listed in most major databases as issues...lol. So they tend to have to do a lot more testing and troubleshooting to identify problems with newer cars.

This is the first time in two years that its been in the shop for more than a few hours, so I guess I have been lucky.

At least you have a sweet warranty on it! Sorry you have to be without it, I really hate when I'm without a car.

Good luck at the motel, Maria, I'm sure you'll be so glad to go home when it's done and sleep normal hours, vs. rude people waking up at crazy hours!
 
we did a big family session in june, and then our photog was doing mini sessions as a fundraiser for a local boy who is battling leukemia, so we jumped on that bandwagon and I am soo glad we did.
 
Just used my SR points! I've never gotten 40% and I went SHOPPING! Well, I'm sure people have bought much more than me before, but getting 5 kits at one time is a BIG DEAL for me!
 
I really need to use my SW... Maybe tonight when I get home.

I know something that will make you ladies smile: I somehow managed to get little dots of makeup on BOTH of my lady lumps on my sweater this morning. And it's the only clean one I have... So I'm going to pretend like they aren't there. Haha. :o
 
hahaha Marla! I'm always getting crap on my shirt. I have, um, rather LARGE lumps, so my DH calls them my shelf. I get stuff stuck on my shelf too often.

Kate, I do it too, don't feel bad. What's really funny is the number of stains INSIDE my shirts in that area from things that fall down the cleavage and get stuck.....

I have a giant zit in the middle of my cheek. oy.

Duck low, my friend. No, seriously, you wouldn't believe how many people actually think we do sit around and read all day. If only!! I mean, I have my dream job, but that would be my above and beyond dream job if I could just sit and read all day and get paid for it!!
