Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

I just woke up from a 2 HOUR nap!! That NEVER happens! I haven't had a good night's sleep in so long, though. I am so exhausted. So a little nap was nice!

I'm so glad you got some rest, Kate... I feel like I need a nap, but then I won't be able to sleep tonight. Plus, I've got two million things to do today. And it's already two. Dang it, my weekend is flying by!

Glad you're feeling better, Kate. Hope your cough will go away - it seems to always take time for those to be done. :(

You guys are already making your calendars for 2012 - you're so on the ball! What a great idea! Will you post them when you're done? I'd love to see them! :)

hi everyone! Glad to see the thread still going strong!! Did you miss me LOL . . it's actually been five days since I was on here last, the longest I've ever been away :p Had my gall bladder op, all went well (except so shocked by how much pain I was in!!) But all good now, this is my last day home, back at work tomoz waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah :crying:

whee, another calendar page done and 5 more things for work as well.

I like to start my calendars early so that once the holidays hit I am not stuck trying to cram them in. plus, then I am done when the good sales head my way

Jen, I've never played those games, but it's a conscious decision. I think I'd be totally addicted if I started!

It is a lot of fun. I've played for almost 3 years now. I canceled my subscription earlier this year when I had no time due to work. I usually only play one or two nights per week, lol

So smart! I'm all for planning in advance! :) WTG!

I learned the hard way when I literally finished scrapping my mom's calendar two days before christmas a few years ago...never again. I have 5 different calendars to make for various family members, so they have to be printed in early november so they get to me in time for me to frame/hang them and then package them and get them out in time for christmas.

I'm not having a good night. I wanted to reread one of my favorite series, and I can't find the 3rd book. I know I bought them all, and only the one book is missing...I have books 1,2, and 4...just no 3. Hoping I find it tomorrow, otherwise I will have to order a new copy off of amazon...

how do you do the calender thang?? I was going to do one for my mum but have stalled as I have no idea . . do you do 12x12 layouts? Are you able to put pics etc on the date part? Where do you get them printed?? Oh, the questions I have!! :p:p

A lot of designers have calendar templates to work from (we just got some new ones in the shoppe this weekend, I'm pretty sure). I still don't know where I'm going to get mine printed. There's been a lot of talk about places, so I guess I'll pick one. I want one that lets me do custom tops and bottoms.

I got cindy's calendar temps. I'll be printing through persnickety prints this year. They're very quick, very good at what they do, and their prices are pretty nice too.

I figure this is who I'll use, too. I love PP. I've only ever printed through them, and if you're getting a lot of pages done, then the prices are great (I hate the flat shipping rate when I only need one or two pages done, though LOL)

I have over 500 pages waiting to be printed. I'm going to have to start uploading and place an order every single time there is a sale or I will never be done, lol

**blushing** I've never actually had LOs printed unless they're gifts. None whatsoever for myself. So yes, I'm in the same boat. I *only* have about 350, though.

Same boat here! I'm guessing I have 200, but I print each page for my boys books depending if they are in the page or not (I have 3 boys) and one for my book. I printed for the first 3 years I did digi, faithfully (have over 600 pages printed) but somehow the last 2.5 -3 years I stopped printing (BIG MISTAKE) and now I'm in the process of figuring out where I left off so I can start attempting to put a dent in the heaps of printing I must do! I use Costco (I have one 5 min. away) and I need to start doing $50+ each month until I'm caught up....

It doesn't help any that I keep making new pages and getting further and further behind... lol

And that's why I'm always going to just make photo books... because I see myself not ever printing. I'm getting so excited to see all my 2011 pages bound in January.

I probably won't ever print some of them, because they are from 2007, when I started scrapping and are so craptacular. I've printed an old version of my wedding albumm, and tons of hybrid layouts, but no complete digi layouts since 2008....so I have 3 full years worth of layouts to print, and I did 165 layouts in 2008, 204 in in 2009, 130 in 2010, and so far 85 in 2011...

OMG, I'd never dream of printing my first LOs. Craptacular doesn't even BEGIN to describe them LOL. I like Marla's idea of just doing photo books, cause then I won't have to buy the binders and the protectors and all that jazz.

Well, someday when I have all this extra money to print all these LOs (which I don't have now), I'll decide then.

I don't scrap in order either. I do have to say, there's beauty in the photo books... they are tempting, but the fact that I fully don't scrap in order may be a dealbreaker for me, dang it. I have to admit the sheet protectors and binders are sort of a pain to deal with. I have a 2 inch stack of printed out pages that I have not put in binders yet ::gasp:: and obviously haven't gotten to in quite some time, lol. I already bought my binders 5 years ago that I will love until the day I die, and I'm quite sure with the LSS scene plumeting with the econmy that they are not being manufactured anymore. It's tempting to upload to albums, scrap the super cute binders and not deal with sheet protectors and have the albums take less room on my shelves.... ohhhhh.... thinking!

especially if there was some super awesome shutterfly deal or something! lol.

I had really not considered this until now... really thinking... hmmmmmm.....

I'm telling you, I LOVE my albums all pretty on a shelf. They are perfect for me. And it helps that I just got married in December, so it's not like I have a years to go through and rescrap. Although I am currently working on a giant project that involves scrapping the pictures of my childhood... But it will be in a photobook (or photobooks) if I ever get it finished.

Tonight I'm making my poor husband get off the tractor for fifteen mins to take our Christmas card pictures. I'm sure he will hate every minute of it.... Scratch that, he will enjoy getting to play with my camera remote. Haha.

Hope you get your car back quick, Jen, I hate being car-less as well!

And Maria, good luck with your Christmas Card photo! Gotta love remotes! haha! :)

I have over 1000 layouts . . though some are completely 'craptacular' lol. I dont scrap in order either, but am going to start printing photo books for my children - they will be kinda themed, or not . . I dont care!! This chrissie they are all getting books (the whole family actually so I'm flat out) but they pages they have will only be in the book if they are in the photos ykwim?? I think it's more important that I actually start doing it, cos if I make myself get too anal about organising it will just never happen. That's why I dont have any full size pages printed now!!

I will check out Persnickety Prints cos my chrissie order will be huge
