Are you a Thread Killer? Let the Game Begin!

OK, I found out the craziest thing. I was making a big batch of chicken and dumplings (yuuummmmmm) and unfortunately let them burn on the bottom and they got this yicky burnt taste (I transferred them to a new pot asap). I was so bummed, so I Googled getting out he burnt taste and found a tip. Put peanut butter in it! You don't taste the pb and the burnt taste comes out (mostly...I could still taste it cause I knew it was there). Crazy, huh?!

Blissfully chilly here this morning!! Finishing up a LO I started last night and gonna clean and chill today. Happy Labor Day my American friends!

Another amazing day of beautiful, beautiful weather. I was so inspired by Traci's new kit, we went to the apple orchard and picked our own fruit. Yum!

I also learned that apple cider, ice cream, apples, and a dollop of caramel makes a decadent treat! :p
 
Had some very unsettling news at work (right before I left), drove the 30mins home just shocked and feeling a bit sick, stressing out . . and then walked in the door at home to my beautiful daughters hugging and giggling on the couch, my husband smiling at me :wub: - and was reminded (again) of what's really important, and how blessed I am . .
 
Happy Wednesday Y'all! Praying for all the folks in Texas with those wildfires. One of the photos I saw last night was horrific!
 
I definitely feel like a "thread killer!" I posted a thread to see if anyone had a great salsa recipe that they can and the thread went dead in the water! lol! I was sure that the Domestic Divas on this site not only scrapped, but canned as well!

PW's salsa recipe is great... but I am not a canner. Lol. Good luck though.
 
I'm ::so:: happy I lived through today. It was a day from heck! eeek! I'm going to go curl up and read a book that just released today that I got for my kindle.
 
My plan for today- get rid of a sinus headache and stuffy nasal cavity by mowing three acres of weeds. Sounds a bit irrational, right?
