Apparently I can't live without ...

A mouse for my laptop.

My bluetooth mouse died today. I scrap/surf on a Macbook Pro and I am totally on the struggle bus for using the trackpad. THIS is apparently not my forte, I lasted less than an hour before I was ordering a new one to be delivered tomorrow.

Who knew something so little could derail me???

I am totally with you. I have a laptop for work and just can't get used to using the trackpad. Always have to have a mouse.

Yup, I totally get that. I used to scrap without a mouse. Then I started scrapping with one...and when it died, I thought I'd be fine because I'd done it before. Nope! I felt like I'd forgotten how to use a computer lol! I didn't even want to check email, let alone scrap without a mouse.
Mouse users, unite! LOL

Heck, I have to have an external keyboard and a mouse for my laptop. I make too many typing mistakes when I use a laptop keyboard and my wrists will hit the trackpad screwing up whatever I'm doing. But, I don't scrap on my laptop, it is for genealogy work so is a lot of typing.

I am with you as well. I always use a mouse. The trackpad really slows me down.

I cannot use the trackpad, at all! For my personal laptop which I use for scrapbooking I have a bluetooth mouse, but do use the keyboard. I always forget it's a touch screen laptop until the batteries die in the mouse!

For work I have a wired keyboard and mouse and second monitor attached to my laptop. I find it much easier to use the separate keyboard when I am working as opposed to browsing and scrapbooking.

They are like a second hand! I'm so particular with mine even though I use a really cheap one. Can't imagine using a track pad (I don't use a laptop but If i did I wouldn't be able to lol)

Ok so not hate me but I just can't work properly with the mouse... I need the trackpad all the time it makes me faster to me.
My trackpad starts to bug some weeks ago and I was totally lost. I had a mouse, I don't have difficulties to use but it annoy me, I find it slower.
My mom need the mouse too and hate the pad.
I don't know why I'm in the trackpad team! lol! But I totally understand it drives you nuts if you have to use the pad instead of the mouse when you feel better with it. Totally logical to me!

I am a mouse girl all the way. I recently switched to an ergonomical one, think mouse on it's side, and was worried I wouldn't be able to get used to it. But I was rolling away in minutes like a pro. :D

Lorie, I'm with you - I've got Logitech's ergonomic MX mouse, and I can't live without it! When my husband asked me to show him something on his computer and I had to use his traditional mouse it made me grumpy. :)

Team mouse here too.

I'm apparently super picky about my computer in general, which my brother never fails to tease me about. But you have to have the perfect tools that work for *you*, right? ;)

Hope your new mouse arrives fast.

I only use a desktop and the few times I have tried using my kids' laptops, I can not use the trackpad. My kids make fun of the fact I use the computer all the time, but can't manage to go without a mouse.

I have a desktop with wireless keyboard and mouse. I used to have a laptop and I always used a separate mouse. I disliked using the laptop's keyboard because I would make so many mistakes. But for travel, I just used the mouse.

I really can't scrap quickly without a mouse. I know I am so much slower using a track pad.

I'm right there with Cheryl - I have a wireless mouse and keyboard for my laptop and on the side of my desk is my laptop with a wireless mouse. When I was in the workforce and we all had laptops ... I was one of the few that used a mouse, which I found odd.

On a side note - back many years ago when home computers were just becoming 'popular', my parents (in their 70's at the time) had one and my dad phoned me one day and said the "rat" on the computer had broken - lol. (I told him that the correct term was mouse - we laughed about that for many years!)

I use mouse for everything except scrapping. I love my bamboo tablet for scrapping. I can't scrap with a mouse, it's too slow to my liking, but I do prefer mouse over trackpad all the way :)

Cannot use a tracking pad, it drives me nuts. I need a mouse for the laptop and for my PC I have a mouse and a wacom tablet, can't scrap without them.

First thing I do when I get a new laptop is turn off the trackpad … can’t stand them.

A few years ago Dad was using a laptop and kept complaining about the arrow jumping all over the screen and other weird stuff happening. Yep, he was hitting the trackpad with his wrist.

At first he didn’t want me turning the trackpad off, but he got tired of me saying “trackpad” every time he grumbled about the laptop misbehaving. I think he lasted about a week before he allowed me to turn it off. :)

I use a Mac laptop for work and have to use a mouse with it... but have a PC laptop for home and never use a mouse with it. :)

I am soooo bad with a track pad! It's like I can't function at all when trying to use one. My daughter laughs at me. I definitely need a mouse haha.

My youngest DD teases me that I'm old because I HAVE to use a MOUSE. The trackpad drives me nuts and it takes me forever to get anything done.
