Anyone use Thunderbird for email?

I used to use it and really liked it. That was several years ago and I had issues with it on dialup so I stopped using it (incidentally I also had issues with Outlook Express on dialup, but no issues when I switched to Outlook in Office 2003). But I've since switched to just doing everything in gmail - much easier, lol. I haven't used Thunderbird in years, though...but from what I remember it was a good program.

I use it and I love it. Easy to configure, light, good spam "catcher". I get all my gmails there and no problem so far :)

Give it a try :)

I switched a few months ago because gmail wouldn't let me put things in folders, only "tag" stuff.

While I find Thunderbird to be a BIT slow (just like Outlook though)...the slow factor is in the downloading, I really LOVE it otherwise!

I've never had any trouble with slow downloading of emails, but we have high speed cable internet (through Cox) not DSL or dial up so not sure if that's the difference or not.

yeah, we have 12 mb DSL. We're lucky we have that...we're in the middle of no-mans-land :)

I love it! I have 5 emails that are sent to it. And 2 of those are not gmail and it works just fine. I can't get my sbcglobal address to work properly but that is on att's end.

I was using it up until recently when I decided to switch to gmail.

i like MozBackup for backing up and restoring (like if you get a new computer)
