Anyone thinking of Halloween yet??

Halloween is my FAVORITE! I've made my kids' costumes every year except on the year each of them was born. And I think given what they have chosen this year, I'm not going to make them this year either. :( Kinda sad... They requested a warewolf and 'draculette'. Lol

my favorite holiday of the year!!!! waiting for my girlfriend to tell me what her party theme is this year and will go from there!!!!

Yep, I have already started working on Nick's. He wants to be a Viking this year. I'll probably just be a fox again like last year. Get some extra wear out of that hat I had to have. ;)

My kids are old now... 8 and 12. I'm over Halloween. How sad is that? I liked finding them costumes when they were little (we always did coordinating costumes). Now I just don't care anymore. They don't want the costumes I want for them and I don't really like the stuff they do want so I'm over it. I only ever did it for the photo ops anyway. ;) I've seriously never liked Halloween and the whole idea of begging for candy.

Jake keeps going from pilot (what he was last year), weatherman, or fisherman... I hope he decides soon - some of these ideas require more thought than others... ;)

For some reason, I read weatherman as watermelon. You could always put that one in the mix!

We start planning so early. Sounds like we're going to be toys this year. Brody-Lego man, Jamie-Thomas the train, Barn- Nintendo Gameboy, Me- Cabbage Patch Kid.

Last year my girls costumes were homemade or put together using items we have. I made tutu's for Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. I bought a few Dollar Tree items and made a red yard braid wig for Jessie (Toy Story), and put together a pink and purple outfit with a pouch of pixie dust for Izzie from Jake and The Neverland Pirates.

A few days before Halloween last year, friends of ours invited us to do Lazer Tag with them on Halloween. I had put so much time and effort into costumes, we couldn't do it. But the girls want to do it this year! We'll put the money we would have used to buy candy, and items to make costumes into playing lazer tag. I thought the girls would have forgotten, and a few weeks ago I mentioned something about Halloween, and they all mentioned that we are doing lazer tag, so they didn't forget!

It should be fun though!

We haven't thought about costumes yet, but I have already had halloween decorating on my mind. I usually skip right over the fall themed decor and go straight for Halloween..... it's my favorite holiday so I like to enjoy the decorations for a while :)
