Anyone knit? I need help.

So, I am teaching myself to knit. I want to knit something that is ribbed, but I can't figure out one thing. Say I knit 2, purl to for a row, ending with purl. When I flip it over to start going back the other way, do I start with knitting 2 or purling 2?

On the reverse side you knit what you purled the other way and purl what you knitted. So if you ended with two purl stitches, when you flip you knit the first two stitches.

Yes, on the opposite side you would start with knit two, then purl two. I just knitted a pair of ribbed fingerless gloves and I was doing this exact pattern. Good luck with your project!
