Are there shipping options? where do they ship from? How's the quality? Any other suggesions? I'm looking to get 8x10s for $1 or less..

My experience: prints had yellow tint to them. Trim job was awful... some had very crooked cuts, some edges were only partially trimmed.. some weren't even square. Pics on the pages are grainy... not b/c of my photos but their printing process (I've printed the same pages at Costco and the pics were NOT grainy).

My order took two weeks. I've been reading threads at DST and some people have been waiting over a MONTH now for their prints. Some people have been receiving other people's prints.

I'd opt for a different company right now. They can't seem to deal with the volume of orders they are doing and quality control is poor.

I am one of those she mentioned above who has been waiting in excess of a month for prints (I'm really afraid they sent them to someone else...over 150 LOs).

I placed a huge order on September 30, and it wasn't even looked at (according to order history) until October 21, supposed shipped on or about October 23, and here it is November 3, and I still don't have it

I've tried to contact them (they promise 24-hour turnaround by email on their site) multiple times and have heard nothing from them. At this point, I just want my money back and will print elsewhere.

Yeah, that's another problem. LOTS of people cannot contact them through email or through their "contact us" page. I have had no problem with this and always received emails within 24 hours, but lots of people can only get their issues taken care of if they PM the owner through DST. I wonder what people do when they don't know about DST and how they contact them because it seems they have emails just getting lost out there in cyberspace. lol

I think I have a bunch of 8x10's for free through Artscow if you want to give them a try. Free is free right? Lol!

It's a shame, really. I had a few done (as a test) earlier and LOVED them! It took a while, yes, but the quality was good IMO, and I loved the paper they printed on (not a photo paper but more of a SB weight paper), so I was looking forward to getting caught up with my printing.

i <3 artscow...they are FANTASTIC...ordered all christmas gifts through them got them a few days later--i was surprised my orders before that took a weekish max...they have always returned customer service for me and are WONDERFUL....did i mention i <3d them

I like artscow a lot, I just didn't want to pay for them again at this point, but if you have a code for free 8x10s, that'd be great!

It is really hard to tell what is in your shopping cart, especially if you are ordering multiple sizes etc. I had an e-mail that was never returned as well.

I had a chat with Prathibha this weekend and she mentioned that bulk single print orders will take longer to process than if you ordered a book or other product. They were bombarded with very huge orders for that recent promotion they offered and have finally caught up. They really are trying their best to please everyone! I know their contact email was faulty for sometime, I had to contact directly to get through. I think part of the problem is, yes they offer 24 hour turn around but, think about how many people are sending messages and how long it takes to read, research and reply to every single one.

I am pleased with their product and service and will be ordering again, though I may not do so during a huge promotion and just take the ease of mind that though I'm spending a little more without the sale, I'm getting a better guarantee that mine won't be mashed with the other hundreds.

I'm one who hasn't had a problem with MPT, at least one that wasn't fixed right away. I had a huge order (230 LO's) that came in to them corrupt and took almost a month to get to me but they had to hand sort it, but they let me know that and I was fine with it. Then it was missing about 30 LO's but I got a coupon code and I just used it on October 26th and had my order in my hand on November 1st.

I've never had yellow prints and the only prints of mine that have white edges are the ones that I didn't feellike resizing and just stuck an 8x8 on a 8.25x8.25 white background.

Like Megan, the photos are not CRYSTAL CLEAR, but that's because it's not printed on a photo printer on photo paper. It's like a huge laser printer and it's printed on 100lb cardstock. But I love the look and so that's fine by me!!!

But I look at it this way....with so many places to print LO's there is no reason to go with a place that you don't like...no matter how cheap their prices are. If your not happy...then you are not happy. I will stay with MPT as long as they do a good job with my orders, when they mess up to bad for me to be unhappy then I'll shop around for a new place!!!

Hope that helps!!!!

I did a small test run with MPT. The prints are OK, you get what you pay for, KWIM? Photo part of layouts definitely not crisp. But the trimming was not good and for that alone I will not order from them again. (Also I am one of those people who can't seem to reach them via email or contact page.)

I'm thinking, after reading your responses, that I probably should contact Prathibha directly. Maybe mine had to be hand sorted, too? I can hope...

I would be okay with that if people's LO's weren't being shipped to other people. That is completely unacceptable IMO. I don't want pics of my kids/family etc going to other people. Period.

I ordered prints from them, but probably won't again. The digital part printed out well, but my pics are grainy (and never have been from Scrapbookpictures). The color was all right, but the trim job was horrible. They are cheap, though. ;)

Ok...I wasn't going to bring this up again, but the last thing I want is for you to get sucked into a bad situation Reed...so here goes.

Long Story Short...I made a huge order, it came back wrong. There were multiple copies of the same layouts, and none of others. I contacted them THREE times over a month through their website. I got no response. Frustrated, I posted at DST, thinking that they would see it and respond...and nothing. Next thing I know, they are responding to other people. Given no other chance, I sent a PM. Now let's remember, I had to chase them around for THEIR MISTAKE.
I did get a quick response from the PM. I was told that my THREE EMAILS were lost...all three of them...and that they would fix it right away. I was sent a code to reorder the prints I missed...I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING. By this point, the conversations were testy. Well I got a PM a few days later, saying that I had uploaded too big (which I know I didn't) and that would it be ok if they reprinted my layouts on the opposite side of the ones they messed up. I said ok, against my good judgement, b/c frankly, I didn't feel like dealing with pissy-ness about it. Fast forward to Saturday. I rip open the box, and find....a bunch of prints of the same layouts that were mistakes, not the layouts I missed the first time and reordered, but other layouts that I already have six copies of. I immediately closed the box, walked outside and dropped it in the trash.
I am done with MPT. I will not chase them to get this fixed. I will take the hit for shipping, and walk away b/c this is just absurd. There are too many stories like this, and I think that the owners are overwhelmed and that is translating in the customer service. I will not order from them again, and I will tell anyone who wants to know why they shouldn't either.

Sorry, story's not so short after all

Aaron,

I was not aware of your posts in different places. I do not check posts regularly in any forums. PM'ing me in DST is the best way to reach me if you dont have my email address already. You know that too since you tried that and I responded within a few minutes.

When you asked about your emails, I did a thorough check of our entire system and told you that none ( yes, that means all 3) emails did not reach us. There are cases where we genuinely missed customers emails. But that is not the case with you. None the less I am ready to take the blame for that.

But when you reordered, I know for a fact that we printed only those 10 images you had ordered. We printed 3 copies of the 10 images you ordered per your instructions. I PMed you with the link to the images you ordered so you know exactly what you sent us in your order.

I am so sure because I have a physical copy of the order here in my office The one I am holding in my hands right now is the set that was extremely LARGE print size ( not in accordance with our specifications, you agree or not) and we reprinted the reprint to fix that,if you know what I mean.

So I know what order was sent to you. I am holding it in my hand. It is exactly what you ordered the second time.

I am not sure what we are missing here. I am so confused from your post. And frustrated.

I've had good experiences with MPT. I like their quality and the customer service has been good for me. Even when they were swamped with orders from their promotion I feel like I received my LOs within a reasonable time frame. I just put in another tonight before they suspend their single prints until January. I truly hope that its just a temporary thing until after the Holidays.
