Anyone feel like helping me shop?

My daughter is 13 and has her first school dance on the 14th of Nov. I need to find her a dress. We don't want something slutty, and we don't want something really formal, just a nice party dress...under about $40.
I have been all over the internet scouring for dresses and they're either too slutty or too expensive.
Anyone feel like helping me shop? I told her I would have links for her to look at when she got home from school and so far I'm failing. :blink: :cursing:

No. She's not a cardigan wearing type of girl.
Her style is Avril Lavigne. She is so princess punk it's not even funny.

There's a couple cute ones in there. Most of them she will say are too "kid-like" but there a few I'm gonna show her. (she just turned 13 and is wayyyy picky. LOL)

I feel you pain!! I have a 13 year old dd too! Let me think ... have you tried JCPenny's? Believe it or not they have some nice dresses there. I'll keep thinking.
 
I figured it would cover but still be really cute and with the ruffles and sparkles kinda fit in with the punk/princess you said she likes. There are a few more but way beyond 40 dollars that I thought were really cute.

If you have a TJ Maxx or Ross it is really worth going to check them out. My daughter got her dress for homecoming for 16.99. It is a little much for a 13 year old more appropriate for a 17 or 18 year old but it is really pretty. She tried on several dresses that I bet your daughter would adore though
