anyone ever used windows easy transfer?

I am using it now to transfer between computers and it is taking FOREVER!!!!!! Tell me it will start to speed up eventually??!?!

I used it almost 1.5 years ago and that's way too long to really trust my memory, but I started out using the easy transfer utility to move things to an EHD, and from there I was going to transfer them to the other computer. It took forever--after 13+ hours of copying from the old computer to the EHD, it finally gave me an error message and I was going to have to start all over again. At that point I broke down and bought the Windows Easy Transfer cable. I remember that being much faster and it worked the first time. I can't remember exactly what "faster" was--it probably could have been anything from 1 to 5 hours.

It has a timer whichi thought was going up but it has been going down the last few minutes so i guess i vae about two hours to go

Oh... I just did this when I transferred business files onto a new computer for my office.... it seriously took over 12 hours (about 300GB of stuff).
