Anybody making Christmas gifts?

Inquiring minds want to know ... are you making any Christmas gifts for those on your list this year?

Doesn't have to be scrap-related ... what are you making?

I've got a stack of sewing projects I'm trying to make my way through.
- Christmas dresses for my 3 granddaughters
- 3 stuffed "plushies" (2 dinosaurs and 1 neck dragon)
- 4 button-down shirts for my husband
- 3 knit dresses for my granddaughters plus matching dresses for two 18" dolls
- pj pants for my grandson

If I manage to get through all that, I get to sew some for myself. :)

Well done you! That's an impressive gift list.

As for whether I'm making anything this year - That's a big no from me :p

Life is busy enough, and I'm ready to do as little as possible now it's the end of the year :D It helps that we're not doing presents this year too. We had our family Europe trip in June/July, and I told the girls that counts for Christmas as well. They're 18 and 21 now though, so they're all good with it. We'll do a few stocking fillers, but that's about it.

Wow! That's a lot of gifts to make. Good luck on getting it all done!

I make a calendar for my mom every year using Cindy and Kristen's calendar pages. I'm the family memory keeper so I normally take pictures of all the grandkids at events to use for the calendar, but also normally request pics from my sister and sister in law which can take forever. This year I was not in the mood to deal with that and just decided to make it easy on myself and only use pictures that I had. It is done and I already have it back from Shutterfly! That's some kind of record for me.

I'm also making a scrapbook at my son's request. He graduated from high school in May and asked for a scrapbook of him and a few of his friends from church. I've been working on it since April and would really love to get it finished in time for Christmas but it probably won't happen. I have a week off after Christmas so I'll probably have to work on it then. It has been quite an undertaking-trying to get photos from the other parents and then putting it all together. I thought it was sweet that they wanted it though and he is very appreciative of the time I've put into it.

My youngest is making Disney ears for her sisters for part of their gift!

I love this! I'm a sucker for adorable ears.

As for my gift-making, I made apple butter for my son's team at equine therapy and always send a bunch of jellies, jams, butters, etc. back to France with my bestie. I saw her last week and gave her apple butter, apple-jalapeno-habanero jelly, cranberry orange jam, and I want to say the last one was blackberry jalapeno. (We may 2 different blackberry jams last year and I had one left in my pantry that I sent with her.)

I cross stitched a piece for Olivia (it's not a surprise), and we're supposed to get it back from the framer's on 12/16. Here's a pic of it right after I finished and before it was ironed:

This is beautiful!

I'm making a few gingerbread items for my mom, but otherwise, not making much else this year. Love seeing everyone's lists, though!

That is an impressive list, Angie. I hope you will share the results.

I used to make Christmas present for everyone, but haven't done so in years, because frankly, they were not into them and prefer store bought "stuff." My brother does miss the homemade chocolates and cookies though. LOL

I may not be making presents, but I love Christmas crafting, so I am making things for the house. I did the mickey head cupboard wreaths, a garland for over the patio doors in the kitchen and a wreath for the bathroom so far. But I have other projects lined up including a snowflake wreath for the outside of the house, two ever green swags to go beneath the lights on the garage, a set of jute snowflakes for in the house, a few Pottery Barn hacks I want to try and now the garland for family room. Basically, my craft room and office are both a mess. LOL

I've also been watching a lot of dollar tree craft DIYs and hacks and have pinned a few that I want to give a go if I have time. :)

Wow Angie! That's quite the impressive list.

I decided (last minute, of course) to do a book for each of our kids of their birthdays each year. The pages will be pretty simple, but I think they will like them. Fingers crossed I can get them done!

I made my sister a wedding scrapbook, and canvas prints for the lady I care for and my ex-in-laws (you read that right lol)

Um. I'm cooking us a dinner that day. Just can't decide whether to call it Christmas Dinner or Hanukkah Dinner this year. LOL. Well it's Christmakkuh in my house this year. Ha ha. We celebrate both. But none of it is the same as when my daughter was little and all the magic was still alive.

Christmakkuh dinner with lots of latkes and peppermint everything for dessert?

I made a miniature treasure apothecary folio for my granddaughter who loves anything to do with spell books and potions. She can display it on the shelf in her bedroom. I'm also making my two dils a 2025 Christmas Planner journal since they both appreciate handmade items.

Yup. lots of Christmas crafting... lots of paint and glue with the littles.
And I have been sewing up a storm for gifts. I am making table runners, bowl cozies and hanging kitchen towels.
