Anybody a You Tube guru???

I am ready to snap & lose it... seriously! I'm trying to share private videos with family, but it won't let me!! I've got everybody in my contact list, 4 have signed up to see them, but when I go to share them, it says I have no contacts??? So nobody can view them!! I've been trying to figure it out for 3 freaking days, and its not working!!!!

Anybody know how to do it??
 
I wish I could help but I do LOVE youtube! Wes and I watch a lot of cover songs on there. Alot of incredible unsigned talent!
 
i've never uploaded to youtube. Just google video. I like google video b/c after you upload your video you can download it for your ipod. but maybe YouTube does the same thing. I have no idea.

anyway hope someone can help ya
 
Did you add your friends when you uploaded the video if not go to
"My account" on the top right, then you see where it says Videos? Click on "My videos" Then choose the "edit video" button on the right side of the video you want to set as private. Scroll down to "sharing Options" And insted of the brodcast choice being on public, click on private. But you have to put all of your friends that you wish to see the video in one group, either family of friends.

I think basically the key is to have the contacts in 1 group..not individually

Thats just it though... thats where it all goes screwy. I've done exactly what you said (at least 100 times) & I have 4 contacts in my friends group, but it tells me I have no contacts when I click "private"! I don't get the "default" list of friends or family to choose from! I don't understand what the h#ll is up with this!!
 
okay, I thought i would upload what the problem is that I am having. I go to the private option, and that is my choice. It says I have no contacts.

So I click on the "edit contact list" to add my friends, but it says I have 4...

So if I have 4 friends in my contacts, why won't it give me the option to send them the videos??
 
are your contacts under friends or family? in order for them to view a private video (or for you to send it) they have to be under one of those categories. You can't send it individually to diff users..it will only send to a friend or family group

I can't tell from your shots if they are under a group or not

I have 14 contacts in my contacts list. 4 of them accepted my invite to be friends, so they are now in a "Friends" list under "Contacts". I haven't seen a family heading anywhere yet? I must have a glitch or something...
