Any great tutorials for Bridge?

Going to make an attempt to get my scrap stash organized. Looks like I have Adobe Bridge. Have no idea where to start. Any good tutorials or tips you know of? TIA!

hmm i use bridge just like i would have used windows explorer or something. What are you looking to try to do?

I remember trying out ACDSee and liked that I could tag each item however I wanted (i.e. red, button or pink, ribbon, twisty) so if I need something specific, I can do a quick search and see all my "red buttons", etc. Wondering if I can do that in Bridge as well. Am I making any sense? lol

Smart Collections is the way to go! I did smart collections but it does bog down your system.

My method was to tag the papers and elements and then also tag the papers according to colors and theme. Elements according to type...i.e. tags, staples, stitches etc. I have 2 smart collections one for paper and one for elements.

For example I had a paper and elements smart collection, then if I was looking for a specific color paper I clicked on the keywords blue and yellow and the results updated, same for elements...I would click on staple and viola.

Open up the keywords tab and you can add your tags there. Smart collections are a good place to start out too. If you've seen tutorials about organizing in Ligtroom it's pretty similar in Bridge.

I keep the keywords menu open too, just select everything I want to tag and click the little checkmark boxes. I add my fave and most-frequently used items to a smart collection. Like 'things to scatter' or 'all about me page elements'. I found a video tutorial, I'll try to find it.
