I have another prayers and positive thoughts request....
On Thanksgiving night our doxie lucy was acting very strange grunting and acting very odd so I seperated her from the rest of her little puppy family figuring that the rest would do her some good. I put her out in the living room with my significant other and asked him to watch her and let me know if she had gotten any worse. She slept the entire night and when he went to come to bed he called her and she wouldn't get off the couch. He went picked her up and put her on the ground and her back legs weren't moving/walking etc. He woke me up freaking out that she couldn't walk. I immediately knew there was a problem and we have a vet that's 24 hours that we normally take our dogs to if there is a problem...and for routine things. I took her in and they determined that she had herniated disks and that they would give her IV meds over night and usually it worked...that night one of her disks severely ruptured. She significantly got worse the doc said that morning at 6am when she had called and felt that the surgery was the only option..the biggest problem being it was 4 grand + of surgery. My dogs are like my children so obviously some will think it's an excessive amount for a pet...but like I said she's my child. She's only 5 and they felt that if done in 12-24 hours after her problem she'd had a 95% chance of recovery because she was still feeling deep tissue pain. The only problem was by the time the doctor got there to do the surgery she had stopped feeling deep tissue pain --being that's a bad sign--but she'd only not been feeling deep tissue pain for about 6 hours they felt that the surgery would still be about 80-85% recovery rate.
This morning after surgery she's still not feeling deep tissue pain but may take up to 2 weeks and then we will know if the surgery auctually took or not....I'm praying for the amount we paid that infact it does take <3 I could use all the prayers and positive thoughts possible.
I have a facebook page if people haven't already added me on there <3 where i'll be posting updated about her: facebook.com/HerrroRaRa
