Another 'Kids Say the Darndest Things' Thread...

My 6yo daughter spent Friday afternoon at my sister's house playing Minecraft with my nephew. Before she got picked up, we went to Walmart for stuff for the long weekend. On the way to my sister's house, they stopped at the store for a few things. Evidently, Miss Monkey sighed loudly and said, 'It's not fair that I have to go to the grocery store TWICE in one DAY!'

A couple of weeks ago, my sister & mom went to a class and both made a sign that they have hanging up on their walls. When Miss Monkey got to my sister's house, she asked, 'Does EVERYONE have a Let It Snow sign at their house except us?!'

Yesterday Lauren (7 years old) had a nose bleed and was covered in blood for a few minutes. (It sounds a lot worse than it was!) After we washed her off, she said, "Much better. Now I'm just regular Lauren--no more Vampire Lauren!"

Well, my dd is 13 but she does say something really cute every once in awhile. The other day we were up in Detroit the other day and she saw the 'bridge to Canada' signs on the expressway and remarked that we should go to Canada. I asked her what we would do there, and she said, "Buy bagged milk. They sell milk in bags up there!"

Apparently my 6 year old was saying she wanted everything she saw on commercials he other night while she was at my mom's with my sister and mom (we don't have cable so commercials are rare). My mom told her she didn't need everything she saw, to which I guess she replied I said I want it not need it Grandma.

my 6 year old was apparently tired of his 4 year old brother repeating the same phrase ["tippy top shoulin' hop" - yes. very annoying] over and over and over again the other day and finally uttered the following : "ohhhh, for cryin' out loud already. just stop." no idea where that came from. who even says that? "for cryin' out loud" ??

I shared this on e on fb, but it cracks me up.

A couple of days ago (the day before Chloe's 4th birthday), we were in the kitchen when she said this -

"Mommy, it looks like Daddy left his watch on the counter. I'll go put it on his desk. He probably just left it in here so he could see how much time is left until my birthday."

haha - did she get that from 30Rock? You need to bring her to Wisconsin and go to a KwikTrip Gas Station - we have milk in bags...

My 8 year old got a can of Pringles last weekend at Daddy/Jakey night... Pringles are a rare treat (they have gluten/wheat in them)... he told Daddy that "One doesn't eat them, you savor them..."

There's a product similar to Pringles here with no wheat - Lay's Stax. My son can eat them!

Well my 5 year old daughter I think is looking for a way to not finish her dinner without saying the "words" so she told me "You just don't know it mommy, by my tummy is full (pulled her shirt up) See, it's really big?"

Not exactly they said something...but my two youngest just proceeded to count the number of pictures they were in downstairs to be sure they had equal representation (thank goodness everyone is in the same number of printed pictures or we may have had chaos!)
